EXCLUSIVE: How Brett Kavanaugh tried to sidestep abortion and Trump financial docs cases

Source: CNN

Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh urged his colleagues in a series of private memos this spring to consider avoiding decisions in major disputes over abortion and Democratic subpoenas for President Donald Trump's financial records, according to multiple sources familiar with the inner workings of the court.

In the abortion controversy, Kavanaugh wanted the justices to sidestep any ruling on the merits of a Louisiana law that could have closed abortion clinics in the state, CNN has learned. The case marked the first time in four years the justices were taking up the heated subject. Kavanaugh's plan would have ensured the law -- a credentialing mandate for doctors who perform abortions -- would not go into immediate effect but also ensured that the justices would not have to put their own views on the line.

The same would have been true in the fight between Trump and the US House of Representatives. Kavanaugh's idea -- presented to the justices in an internal memo and conversations, sources said -- would have had the high court avoid the subpoena fight over Trump financial documents, based on the judicial principle that courts should stay out of cases involving fundamentally political questions.

While that strategy could have meant the President had to hand over his documents to congressional investigators, sources say the personal fate of Trump did not come up in internal conversations.

He has no moral compass. It is so disgusting that a creep like him is on the Supreme Court.

People like Kavanaugh (and Barr) have Lady Liberty in their own private room with their hands over her mouth.

It ain’t gonna work, boys. This isn’t the Heritage Society frat house, it’s all of Lady Liberty’s friends breaking down the door to get her out.

It’s the drawback of a cult—they mistake support of other cult members for society at large.

For those too young, the Jim Jones cult members murdered a Congressman who came to investigate. That was their final act of desperation and their attempt at thinking they were in charge.

There’s only so much clean-up work a new administration can do, and a Biden administration will have its hands full just getting the federal government working again and, hopefully, prosecuting all the Trump criminals like Barr and Pompeo.

right out of the blocks---first things first-----there is nothing more important than the SCOTUS---Ginny Thomas will be embarrassed when the dirt on him is rehashed -by bringing back Anita Hill for testimony-----and maybe Biden will -make up for a past wrong ---and Round Two on Kavanaugh ----with a much better cross examination ----justice is impeachment for these two ----their replacements have got to be selected by a committee including AOC----

Reopen the investigation into who paid off his massive credit card debt, how his house was paid for, how his children manage to attend very expensive private schools all on an Appeals Court salary, and you just may get your (our) wish.

When asked what the four F clubs was, he lied.

Anyone in HS in the early 80's knew what that meant. He lied.

He perjured himself.

He needs to be removed asap.

His work with ken star should have been enough to show he was unqualified.

His putting the porn in the information, should have been enough.

His temperament during the hearings should have been enough.

Ford's testimony should have been the nail in his being confirmed.

One of the first things that the new DOJ and FBI director need to do is finish looking at Kavanaugh's financials (by that I mean actually look at them at all).

It was widely reported that several hundred thousands of dollars of credit card debt disappeared just before his nomination and confirmation. There can only be two possible answers to this: tax fraud -- a gift of more than the maximum allowable OR bribery. Most likely it was both, he took a bribe and did not report it on his taxes.

Once the indictment drops -- have him impeached and removed. Make certain that the bail is very high plus surrender passports etc. Then give him the option of squealing on Barr, Trump, the Federalist Society, Scalia and his son, and Deutsch bank or go into general population.

I would even sweeten the deal with a nice soft sentence in a minimum security club fed if he gives the goods on the others. But make that offer for 30 minutes only in the room with his lawyer. But, he forfeits all his assests and resigns immediately from SCOTUS to get the sweet deal.
