Sixty-five percent of Texas voters say coronavirus 'out of control': Poll

Nearly two-thirds of Texas voters say that the spread of coronavirus in their state is “out of control,” according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

Sixty-five percent of respondents said that the virus is running wild in the Lonestar State, which has emerged as a new hotspot in the pandemic in recent weeks. Slightly less than a third, 31 percent, believe the coronavirus is largely under control in their state.

Overall, nearly three-quarters of respondents, 74 percent, say that the spread of the novel coronavirus in Texas is a “serious problem,” according to the Quinnipiac pol.

More than two-thirds of those surveyed, 68 percent, said that local officials should be able to issue stay-at-home orders if they so choose, while only 29 percent said they should not be able to do so.

Much of Texas is rural and remote with the only radio you could get was country and RW talk radio. It brainwashed a large percentage of the population for the last 3 decades. They are programmed to only believe these propaganda whores. They will NOT LISTEN to anything other than the instructions from their media. They have been so steeped in fear and hatred for what they are going through or believe they are suffering for, when it is really displaced anger caused by the powers behind the Republicans and the RW media. They believe we are ruining America and so take pleasure in making us upset or to suffer because we did it to them.

So if it is out of control, maybe the populace should have listened to the experts rather than Republican fools! You get what you vote for. Hard to have sympathy in some ways for these red states.
