Another 12,478 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus and 89 deaths were attributed to the virus, the Florida Department of Health reported Sunday.

The seven counties that make up the Tampa Bay region account for just over 60,000 of the cases and 950 deaths.
On Sunday, Hillsborough County added 603 cases to its total, now at 23,706. There have been 238 coronavirus-related deaths reported in the county, one in Sundays report.

I think taking that option away for people to be healthy just doesnt make sense, the Republican governor said during a news conference in Apopka.
I think most people who are going to the gyms are in the low-risk groups, and I think what they are doing is making them even less at risk of the coronavirus. So, I dont think it would make sense to close them.
The governors comment came after a reporter asked him about an unpublished document prepared for the White House Coronavirus Task Force that recommended Florida and 17 other states in red zones should roll back reopening measures amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.
