Cardboard Obama told “Go back to Kenya” at Romney rally

Source: KDVR-TV FOX 31 Denver

As thousands of Romney supporters lined up outside his Monday night rally site at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, liberal groups and the Obama campaign did whatever they could to get their own message heard.

But even with a small airplane circling overheard trailing a banner about Romney’s 47 percent comments, the voices ProgressNow Action wanted to hear were those of Romney supporters as they passed by the group’s cardboard cut-out of President Obama and rolling video camera on their way inside.

On Tuesday morning, the group posted the four-minute video on YouTube, in which dozens of Republicans pass by cardboard Obama and, in a few cases, can’t help but hurl less-than-politically correct comments its way. You can watch the video below.

“Go back to Kenya!” one person says.

“Strangle him!” says another.

It's just a damn shame all those young people (particularly young women) were going to that event. Hell, I shouldn't even say that because most of them were people who are retired and Romney promises to effectively screw them, but somehow they don't realize it.

I dunno. I wish I saw what the protest sign looked like. Was it just Obama or did they post other stuff? I would've at the minimum had a sign there that had a list of facts that Romney / Ryan support.

Just the cardboard cutout of Obama, wearing a small button that said "Thanks Obamacare." That's it, no other visuals, and the camera operator and person holding the sign did not provoke the crowd in any way. This was all their reaction to the cardboard cutout.

Fox news followers tend to be well trained in throwing epithets and other politically incorrect statements publically.
To make it a true reverse experiment, Romney would have to hold commander in chief office. Democrats respect the office unconditionally. Many of these would not.

I think Democrats would do better for many reasons both circumstantial and moral. Nobody would be using racist epithets against Romney because Romney is a white man. But Democrats would also, I firmly believe, be both more fact-based (which isn't hard) and less embarrassing (statistically having fewer uncultured goons in their midst).

that the people shown are so blissfully ignorant.... and they really don't mind. As long as they keep having sunshine blown up their collective asses, then the world is right with them.

Now you have the seniors among them who are clueless to the fact that medicare will be on the chopping block, along with social security. The younger people in that crowd don't seem to realize that unless you have a wad of cash in the bank before you are 50, you are going to be totally screwed.

But Romney sends jobs overseas.... guess you won't have that wad of cash in the bank after all. You will just be screwed.

Tue Oct 2, 2012, 11:24 PM
Oct 2012

What's most hilarious is that they actually believe that Mitt Romney gives two shits about them.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have no respect for these people. They're being used. They're too stupid to figure out that they're the targets of right-wing and Fox News brainwashing. You brainwash them, stroke their egos and tell them what to think--and pretty soon you've got 40 percent of America working to enrich the top one person and destroy the rest of America.

Boy are these people going to be pissed when the jig is up. They'll know that they were used like lemmings, and we'll be able to say that we told them so.

Everyone always wonders why the right has such a heavy radio and right-wing media prescence--and why the liberals don't. The reason is because billionaires and corporations fund right wing radio in order to bamboozle the idiots. The Fascists and the corporate overlords knew that the left was too intelligent to fall for their bullshit. So, they're in the process of brainwashing the right into doing their bidding.

So far, they've been talked out of the dignity of healthcare--and we're the only Westernized nation on the planet that lacks national healthcare. They've talked these idiots into wanting LESS regulation for the banks--even after the mortgage implosion. They've talked them into advocating for lie-based wars and torture. They've advocated for having their Social Security taken away, their Medicare vouncherized and their Medicaid gutted. They've advocated for higher taxes and fewer deductions for themselves, but windfalls for millionaires, billionaires and multinational corporations. These people happily mock against renewable energy and fight against any resources devoted to climate change--because they're all so much smarter than the entire scientific community.

I could go on, but I'm starting to get nauseated.

Look at these people. They are just average people. Average people who think they're somebody because Glenn Beck has convinced them that they are smarter than the people who watch CNN. Glenn and Hannity give them the inside scoop, don't ya know? The inside scoop that the rest of us are just too dumb to see. These average people have been duped just like the many citizens were duped by previous dictators It's amazing how they can be talked into fighting against their own best interests to further enrich people who detest them and think they are a joke to be used for their own personal gain.

Instead I'll tell a quick story...

The other day my mom called and we were talking. She lives in Southern Oregon (where I grew up) and I have been living in South Korea have the past 8 years. My mom very rarely talks about politics. About halfway through the conversation she said, "David I need to tell you something". At which my eyebrows went up thinking this was serious. She went on to tell me that her long time friends who is a Christian and her husband say really nasty things about Obama and it's gotten to the point that she doesn't want to be around them anymore. My mom said she can't believe how racist people are and that it just disgusts her.

I told her it didn't surprise me a bit and I'd feel the same way. Then I said, "if it's any consolation they are going to be in for a huge shock the day of the election."
