As tragic as the news is that Gov. Stitt has contracted the virus, one wonders what part his political decision making played in his own situation. Was Gov. Sititt (and other Oklahoma political leaders) required to sign the liability waiver demanded by the BOK/Trump campaign to attend the ill-timed Tulsa rally? Though wearing a protective mask lately, perhaps if he showed personal leadership by appearing masked in public over the past few months, he could have avoided the virus. At least he has (Government) insurance. Doing the right thing is doing the right thing.

As for his staying the course of not mandating masks or altering the opening up--even Gary Busey came around to supporting motorcycle helmet laws after leaving half his brain on the pavement.

Denial IS not just a river in Egypt. It's the most powerful "river" flowing through time or space.

They don't get it because they DON'T WANT TO get it. Because getting it would mean having to face some really awful things:
1) you were wrong.
2) you trusted the wrong guy.
3) you believed the wrong things (yes. Things. Certainly can't be called facts.)
4) you were conned. Or worse - you were a mark. Played like a fiddle. Shaken down. Played for a FOOL. (Because you proved you ARE one, Suckah!)
5) your "hero" - in whom you put your trust, on whom you placed all your bets, he-to-whom-you-hitched-your-wagon - was no star, but rather, an anvil. An anvil that just got thrown overboard into the ocean several miles out in deep water.

Denial of all that, rather than facing it and admitting you were wrong - that's something their pride and their egos cannot allow them to do. It's a VERY difficult reality to have to face, much less even reluctantly to embrace.

What I love about this is the fact that he told his State residents that they are not going to close things up and the virus is here and they will just have to learn to live with it. Ditto to him. Will he even admit if he gets extremely ill from this? Why are they wasting so many tests on those who believe it is a hoax when tens of thousands of people are begging for a test because they are sick?

What I also love is the fact that his State just had 1075 new cases today. My sympathies for those who are suffering for his stupidity. If they had voted for a normal governor, they would have around 200 cases daily like they had about a month ago.

And the good old Trump Riot that he wanted there so desperately had six people from his Entourage test positive who more than likely didn't attend the festivities, but later two bodyguards tested positive and they did attend. I can't imagine all eight of them weren't around several of the people in the Tulsa area before the event. And like was mentioned before, Herman Cain was also there. Does anyone know if the Trump girlfriend was there because not long after, she also tested positive.
