7-alarm fire in South Boston leaves five firefighters injured, 38 displaced
38 people are displaced and damage estimated at $10M

A seven-alarm fire that broke out in South Boston before dawn left five firefighters injured and 38 people displaced, officials report.
The blaze, that spread through adjourning triple-deckers on Columbia Road, caused an estimated $10 million in damage.
The Red Cross is at the scene helping those driven out of their homes and the Boston Fire Department reports hot spots are being doused.

Seven alarms. I heard about this on the 5 a.m. news on WBZ-AM. There's nothing on the WBZ website about this. The Boston Globe website didn't have anything.
I don't ordinarily report on local fires, but seven alarms is a big one. A really big one.
There's also a second fire going on in Boston. I'll see what I can find on that.
