Target security guard breaks arm during fight with men who allegedly refused to wear face masks

Source: CBS News

A Target security guard broke his arm during a brawl with two men after they were confronted for allegedly not wearing masks, Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement Monday. The would-be shoppers were charged with assault, police said.

The two suspects, identified as 31-year-old Philip Hamilton and 29-year-old Paul Hamilton, entered a Target on May 1 in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles with no masks on, according to police. They were called out for not wearing masks in the retail store and escorted out, the LAPD said.

"As they approached the exit, one suspect, suddenly without provocation, turned and punched a store employee, causing him and the suspect to fall to the floor. While on the ground, the store employee broke his left arm," police said.

Surveillance footage of the incident showed the brawl unravel between the suspects, security guard and other workers in an aisle. The employee was seen grabbing his arm moments after the fight. He was taken to a local hospital and was treated for his injuries.

But a whole big bunch of their buddies do have/carry guns.......

Their acting out on their Trumphumping Bullshit is going to be an even bigger epidemic in the very near future......

You could not pay me any amount of money to be the security person who has to stand at the door of ANY store.................At a minimum, Walmart, Target or what ever company should have a dozen of them, fully outfitted and armed like a combat soldier.......Bullet proof vest, helmet, full auto M16........

The article states the employee had to go to the hospital and treat his broken arm. The two suspects were charged with assault and served $50,000 bonds to appear apiece. You'r welcome.

Saying he broke it is, I think, less accurate than saying they broke it.

Please accept my belated thanks.

If we really expect to keep these rules in place, every single establishment is going to need a serious upgrade in security to keep these idiots in check. In this case, even having a security guard wasn't enough so the larger places will probably need to upgrade to armed guards or off-duty police.

You can't expect minimum wage burger flippers or retail workers to enforce these kinds rules in this environment.

The only other option is that they won't get enforced and the requirements will simply slip away over the next few weeks.

When you hit someone so hard that they fall down and get an arm broken, surely that is more than assault!
