Gov. Ned Lamont will order all workers at non-essential businesses to stay home during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, he announced Friday.
Grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, gas stations and other necessary businesses will be allowed to remain open. Restaurants will still be able to provide takeout services.

(6,881 posts)Here on the Cape it's been like that since Tuesday and even where Obama has a new home on Martha's Vineyard, which imagined it was safe is going to cancel some ferries to help keep summer-residents and tourists away. Only Nantucket, further out to sea, may be immune. No place is safe. The China strategy of mandatory checkpoints is the only one that seems to work.

(6,929 posts)Shut it all down, it will be for the best in the long run. I do not underestimate the hardship this will cause, but it seems the only way to control the spread to everyone.
