McConnell wants GOP deal on third coronavirus bill before negotiating with Democrats

Source: The Hill

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Republicans will work out a deal amongst themselves on a third coronavirus funding package before negotiating with Democrats.

First, Senate Republicans and the administration are going to try to reach an agreement on what we think is best" for phase three, McConnell said. Once they are able to get a deal, McConnell said that would be a "logical time to sit down and make a deal" with Democrats.

The plan immediately got pushback from Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) who argued that the negotiations should start with leadership in both parties and both chambers involved.

"The plan that Leader McConnell laid out will only delay things," Schumer said. "I believe the best way to get this going is in a bipartisan way from the outset."

Were it not for all the misery it will entail, I say step back and let them claim it. But Schumer and the rest need to step up at every opportunity to force through the legislation needed for the nation to survive this disaster.

Closed door, partisan scheming most certainly. Otherwise, all would be at the table.

The conniving group of traitors that he leads is possibly trying to embed wall funding into the package. That's how they fly.

I wouldn't be surprised.

8. So what's left in the current bill that actually helps someone other than corporations?

I've read that the House already agreed to a carveout for corporations with more than five hundred employees that exempts them from giving paid sick leave to employees with coronavirus. That's almost sixty million American workers.

Do what's right, or suffer the consequences you lowlife, uncaring asshole. I allow for a great deal of latitude regarding the precise definition of consequences. Phase three could entail something entirely unexpected, for McTurle, at least.

run a front group to diss the opponents -- like a Russianazi president, like fake effort from "acting" officials, threaten to blame opponents for being "political" -- all to create leverage in the public eye to distract from the death all around the living.

Summer rolls on, checks come too late, and ads roll out about how this "winning" came from their man's "natural ability."

It's an eminent front. It's a put-on.

15. Drumpf & McConnell want to use this as a jail break opportunity to transfer wealth.

They want the giveraway to business to be so huge that it totally craters the economy and with no payback clauses like Obama used. They are doing this on purpose so they can later declare (after they steal the election of course) a financial disaster and drastically cut back on SS & Medicare (probably Medicaid too) and steal all our working class money which was already given to the rich corporations and oligarchs.
