McConnell wants GOP deal on third coronavirus bill before negotiating with Democrats
Source: The Hill
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Republicans will work out a deal amongst themselves on a third coronavirus funding package before negotiating with Democrats.
First, Senate Republicans and the administration are going to try to reach an agreement on what we think is best" for phase three, McConnell said. Once they are able to get a deal, McConnell said that would be a "logical time to sit down and make a deal" with Democrats.
The plan immediately got pushback from Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) who argued that the negotiations should start with leadership in both parties and both chambers involved.
"The plan that Leader McConnell laid out will only delay things," Schumer said. "I believe the best way to get this going is in a bipartisan way from the outset."

I wouldn't be surprised.

Summer rolls on, checks come too late, and ads roll out about how this "winning" came from their man's "natural ability."
It's an eminent front. It's a put-on.

(23,105 posts)They want the giveraway to business to be so huge that it totally craters the economy and with no payback clauses like Obama used. They are doing this on purpose so they can later declare (after they steal the election of course) a financial disaster and drastically cut back on SS & Medicare (probably Medicaid too) and steal all our working class money which was already given to the rich corporations and oligarchs.
