(CNN)Tito Vazquez says he still remembers the day three decades ago when, as a wrestler at Ohio State University, the doctor he'd gone to see about a bloody nose insisted on examining his genitals. He also recalls how one of his coaches dismissed his immediate complaint.
"'I have nothing to do with this,'" Vazquez quoted the assistant coach saying, as he effectively ended the conversation and went on with wrestling practice.
That coach, Vazquez says, was Jim Jordan, now an Ohio congressman and an influential voice in Republican politics, perhaps best known for his pugnacious defense of President Donald Trump during the recent impeachment proceedings.
Vazquez is one of six former OSU wrestlers who told CNN in recent interviews that they were present when Jordan heard or responded to sexual misconduct complaints about team doctor Richard Strauss. Eight others say Strauss' inappropriate behavior was an open secret in the athletic department and that Jordan, among others, must have known about it.

The noose is tightening around Jordan's neck. Video in the report is very interesting.

Now 6 Wrestlers Say Jim Jordan Knew Of Doctors Sex Abuse When He Was Coach: Report
The idea that I wouldnt stand up for these athletes is ridiculous, Jordan told CNN.
By Mary Papenfuss
A total of six former college wrestlers have now accused Donald Trump defender Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) of knowing about sexual abuse by the team doctor when he was an assistant coach at Ohio State University, CNN reports.
The six told CNN they were present when Jordan either heard or responded to sexual misconduct complaints about university doctor Richard Strauss. Eight others told the network that the physicians conduct was an open secret in the universitys athletic department and that Jordan couldnt have not known.
Jordan has repeatedly denied knowing anything about sexual abuse of his athletes when he was assistant coach from1987 to 1995.
The university stated in its annual crime report last year that Strauss committed at least 1,429 sexual assaults and 47 rapes during his 20-year tenure. Strauss was never charged and died by suicide in 2005.
Former OSU wrestler Tito Vazquez, now a public school teacher, told CNN: When these complaints come and he [Jordan] pretends now that he had no knowledge of it, thats betrayal in the highest level. Vazquez said that Jordans repeated denials that he knew about the sexual abuse convinced him to come forward. He said when he complained to Jordan, he said: I have nothing to do with this..............................................................

(38,439 posts)...And here is the key to this liar. If other members of the athletic department come forward, and say that they knew about the doctor, and if two or three verify that it was.."common knowledge" in the athletic department, then Jordan is gone. Or if the other individuals are believed more than Jordan, and that becomes obvious to all, then he is also gone. I too, hope they nail him to the wall, and set him out for all to see.
