BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — U.S. Interior Department officials are seeking to bolster their case for easing restrictions on energy development, mining and grazing in Western states inhabited by a declining bird species.

A federal judge in Idaho blocked the Trump administration plans last year over concerns that they could harm greater sage grouse, a ground-dwelling bird.

Assistant Interior Secretary Casey Hammond says a new set of environmental studies published Friday clarifies the steps the government will take to conserve the bird’s habitat.

The Interior Department opened a 45-day public comment period on the studies that cover millions of acres of public lands in Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and California.

Friday clarifies the steps will take to conserve the birds habitat......................well first of all that is BULLSHIT...........did they ask the birds......nope they asked the fucking lobbyists, ..............second ever since the assholes in this country came to this country they have been making studies to extract the minerals and others manifest destiny BULLSHIT to fit the needs to the "government".

Maybe this "Secretary should read the current issue of Mother Jones and how the "penny stock" movement is banking on this corrupt interior department and administration to attack and wanting to go after the Black Hill's (Pahá Sápa) and to mine for Uranium, because the assholes being lead by a traitor thinks its just fine a dandy to pollute the ground water with this type of mining.

And as for Baggs WY, that is the one of the most flat lands in the country, I know I use to traverse the state a lot, the only reason that they want this is that place already looks like porcupine with all of the fracking wells and oils pumps already polluting the ground water, and the libertarians in that state are nuts in my opinion.....................and the population of the town of Baggs is around 500 people, and they have the Outlaw Stop Museum.............

And as an added enjoyment did he (the assistant) by chance have this organization in for any comments.....................and meet with them................I bet not...............................maybe he is in consultation with the enablers running the state...........like Barrasso and Cheney.........................
