President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to file retaliatory lawsuits "all over the place" over former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

The president, in a multi-post Twitter screed Tuesday morning, also appeared to weigh in once again on the federal criminal case against his longtime political adviser Roger Stone.

"These were Mueller prosecutors, and the whole Mueller investigation was illegally set up based on a phony and now fully discredited Fake Dossier, lying and forging documents to the FISA Court, and many other things," Trump wrote on Twitter. "Everything having to do with this fraudulent investigation is badly tainted and, in my opinion, should be thrown out."

The president went on to accuse Mueller of lying before Congress when he told lawmakers he did not interview with Trump to apply for the job of FBI director, tweeting: "The whole deal was a total SCAM. If I wasn’t President, I’d be suing everyone all over the place. BUT MAYBE I STILL WILL. WITCH HUNT!" The president's posts represent the latest development in his renewed assault against Mueller, which escalated last week after Trump expressed his disapproval of federal prosecutors' initial sentencing recommendation for Stone.

Mueller is a straight forward no nonsense and absolute fair minded person when it comes to doing his job. There are no blemishes on mueller's record. Before the investigation started, trump was briefed on the character of robert mueller, how good a lawyer he is, his history as a conservative republican, everything. He was told that if mueller didn't find anything he would report it. He also said that mueller, if nothing else, is honest and plays fair and doesn't play politics when it comes to things like investigations. Trump was told that robert mueller is known across the country as a man of integrity.

Given this information, an innocent man wouldn't need to worry, but a guilty man well...

How do you prosecute a person without putting them on the stand? Lawsuits would bring forward the people who gave testimony behind closed doors to Mueller and allow them to speak.

They could speak without the cautionary filters applied by Mueller. They could speak without the lies told by AG Barr. Their defence attorneys could call the witnesses that Mueller failed to. Ivanka, Donald, Donald Junior and Jared.

Trump assumed the presidency threatening to sue all the women who had accused him of sexual impropriety. So far he has sued approximately none. It is madness to create a situation where people are able to testify against you when you are as guilty as sin.
