Border Patrol Will Deploy Elite Tactical Agents to Sanctuary Cities

The Trump administration is deploying law enforcement tactical units from the southern border as part of a supercharged arrest operation in sanctuary cities across the country, an escalation in the president’s battle against localities that refuse to participate in immigration enforcement.

The specially trained officers are being sent to cities including Chicago and New York to boost the enforcement power of local ICE officers, according to two officials who are familiar with the secret operation. Additional agents are expected to be sent to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, New Orleans, Detroit and Newark, N.J.

The move reflects President Trump’s persistence in cracking down on sanctuary cities, localities that have refused to cooperate in handing over immigrants targeted for deportation to federal authorities. It comes soon after the Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security announced a series of measures that will affect both American citizens and immigrants living in those places.

Lawrence Payne, a spokesman for Customs and Border Protection, confirmed the agency was deploying 100 officers to work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which conducts arrests in the interior of the country, “in order to enhance the integrity of the immigration system, protect public safety, and strengthen our national security.”

Breaking news...the early morning raid by ICE tactical troops killed an entire family of US citizens thought to be protecting undocumented workers. In fact, the family thought they were being attacked by gang members, and had grabbed kitchen utensils and broomsticks to defend themselves. No undocumented workers were found at the scene. ICE spokesperson Ima Lyer said “They should not have armed themselves.”

more of these types of paramilitary units being deployed in the near future. Il Douche and his henchmen continue to test and probe to see how the general public reacts to their increasingly aggressive tactics. Apathy and indifference only emboldens them. And don't think this just will be limited to operations focused on immigration. They're laying the foundation for expanding such enforcement measures to other segments of our society that appear to threaten their authoritarian policies.

20. Oh, goody, another waste of money

I live in a sanctuary city, which means our local cops, already stretched to the limit, aren't expected to do La Migra's work for it. It has also meant ICE agents have been evicted from courtrooms as a disruption and disincentive for any Hispanic accused of a crime or presented as a witness to show up at a trial, whether or not they're citizens, as all Hispanics were getting harassed.

The state does notify ICE if an undocumented alien is convicted of a crime. However, people just doing their jobs and paying their taxes are not being required to show identification by every cop on the street. It is simply unworkable.

I notice the infection of orange slime mold is only going after Hispanic, Arabs, and Africans, while leaving Europeans and Canadians who have overstayed alone. There are plenty of the latter here as retirees.
