AUSTIN (KXAN) — Speaking at a private event in Austin Thursday, Former National Security Advisor John Bolton defended government officials who testified in front of the U.S. House impeachment inquiry.

The United States Senate could soon decide whether to call Bolton to testify himself in the President’s impeachment trial.

Sources tell KXAN Bolton defended former diplomatic and state department officials Fiona Hill, Tim Morrison, Alex Vindman, Bill Taylor, and Marie Yovanovitch.

“All of them acted in the best interest of the country as they saw it and consistent to what they thought our policies were,” said Bolton, during the question-and-answer time after his keynote speech.

He went on to say members of the Trump Administration should “feel they’re able to speak their minds without retribution.”..............................

He had the opportunity to force Senators to consider his information by making the pertinent information about Trump’s action public instead of relying on leaks that they could dismiss. I suspect his published has demanded his silence to protect its profit from future book sales. I should not be surprised—he is a Republican after all—but the choice to just enable a man like Trump to take any lawless action he wants is beyond comprehension. Republicans know that they are creating a Trump who is uncontrollable because he now believes he has ultimate power to do anything with no consequences whatsoever. We’re in for a bumpy ride over the next several months!

However, if he does give an interview BEFORE the GOP Senators acquit tRump.

I'll buy a copy and donate it to the local library so a wider audience can see how guilty tRump was and is.

The White House won't let his book see the light of day because of national security claims (aka, covering Trump's rear), so call a noon presser and tell everyone what really happened in the room. Do it.
