US troop injuries after Iran missile strike rises to 64

Fourteen additional U.S. service members have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries from an Iranian attack on an Iraqi air base earlier this month, the Pentagon announced Thursday.

A Department of Defense official said that 64 U.S. service members in total have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury, or a TBI. The updated figures are a 14-person increase from what the department reported Wednesday. The department initially reported 34 service members had been injured last week, before upping the number to 50.

Trump downplayed the injuries after the initial report from the Pentagon identifying the 34 cases of TBIs. The president initially said no service members had been injured, and later said he had “heard that they had headaches and a couple of other things,” calling it “not very serious.”

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) called for Trump to apologize for his comments.

Just as an additional note, we haven't heard any follow up on that plane shootdown in Afghanistan on which the CIA Station Chief supposedly perished. Seems like it would be easy enough for them to say, naw, you, he's alive. Instead, radio silence.

...I'll have to find it, but read a news story where the drone operators were NOT in a bunker. They had several drones in the sky, once they got the news Iran was going to hit them, they scrambled to return the drones....only, it wasn't going to be accomplished in 24 hours.

They heard the missile strikes and some even resigned that they may die in this attack. They were lucky. And managed to get all the drones back and safe.

Add to that, we don't know if there was a direct hit on a bunker...we are only being shown what Dump wants us to see. The troops may have lived....but the blast may have caused "secondary damage".

The real wake up call, they have the capability to do this...and these missiles could have easily contained nuclear armaments. Not good.

Bolton wanted a war with Iran...that war would have been extremely costly. Think the Military Brass intervened, concussions does not equal to casualties....even though they add to the injured. And read him the riot act, that a war with Iran would make Vietnam and Afghanistan combined look like a cake walk.
