Trump Must Face Rape Accuser Carroll's Defamation Lawsuit

A judge rejected President Donald Trump’s argument that living in Washington means he can’t be sued in New York by an advice columnist who claims he raped her two decades ago and then lied about it.

The decision denying Trump’s bid to dismiss the case, revealed on Thursday, is an early victory for E. Jean Carroll, who went public with her allegations in a June magazine article and sued in November. The judge also denied Trump’s request to delay the exchange of evidence between the parties.

Trump failed to include a written statement supporting his claim that the case should be dismissed on the grounds that the court lacks jurisdiction, New York State Supreme Court Justice Doris Ling-Cohan said in her ruling.

“There is not even a tweet, much less an affidavit by defendant Trump in support of his motion,” the judge wrote.

Trump’s lawyer in the complaint, Lawrence S. Rosen, didn’t return a call for comment.

She says she has the outfit she wore during the attack and it has Trump's DNA on it. Monica Lewinsky's infamous "blue dress" was enough to force Clinton to admit to his indiscretion. Why can't the same be done to Trump? How can he say that he's never met her when the results of testing her dress can prove that is an utter lie.

"The New York Times has dropped plans to perform a DNA test on the coat dress that journalist E. Jean Carroll was wearing when she claims she was sexually assaulted by Donald Trump, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

Carroll handed the Donna Karan garment — which she says she has never washed since the alleged attack — to the newspaper for analysis but now the Times has decided against going ahead.

‘We are in the process of returning the dress without doing any sort of testing after concluding that it would not advance our reporting on this subject,’ the Times’s communications chief Eileen Murphy confirmed in an email to DailyMail.com.

Murphy did not say why the paper had made the decision that testing would not help. It is unclear how the Times would have attempted to gather Trump’s DNA to compare to anything found on the dress."

Much like McConnell in the Senate blocking witnesses and evidence in that trial, they KNOW it will be a smoking gun, and don't want to face the wrath of the GOP media machine ostracizing them if they become involved and seen as helping her case.
