Rudy Giuliani says he's "more of a Jew" than liberal billionaire George Soros, who survived the Nazi occupation of Hungary as a teen.

"Don’t tell me I’m anti-Semitic if I oppose him," Giuliani said. "Soros is hardly a Jew. I’m more of a Jew than Soros is. I probably know more about — he doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue. He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel. He’s elected eight anarchist DAs in the United States. He’s a horrible human being."

He said the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, who testified in the impeachment inquiry that she'd been smeared and forced out of her job by Giuliani, was "controlled" by Soros.

Asked by NBC News if his comments about being more Jewish than Soros were made in jest, Giuliani, who's of Italian descent and was raised Roman Catholic, responded by text, "I'm more Jewish than half my friends."

The Anti-Defamation League on Monday strongly rebuked Rudy Giuliani, calling the Trump attorney’s assertion that liberal philanthropist George Soros is “hardly a Jew” a dog whistle to anti-Semites.

10. I once read the statistics of the self-identifed religious affiliations of the inmates of U.S.

prisons. It was no surprise that the most numerous group identified as Christian, and many other groups were listed, too. Among those groups were Jews. Go for it, Rudy, you'll have company no matter who you say you are.

11. Rudy is most definitely NOT a Jew

So I'm Jewish. The daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Grew up in Brooklyn with lots of Jewish friends and lots of non-Jewish friends.
One of the things most Jews who I know do is try to figure out who is Jewish, kind of like Adam Sandler does in the "Hanukkah Song."
And when bad things happen, we hope the person who is responsible isn't Jewish. We get enough blame for everything anyway.
With my "Jewdar" firmly focused on the former mayor of my hometown, I will paraphrase Adam Sandler and as he said about OJ Simpson, say "Rudy Giuliani, NOT a Jew, but guess who is, Hall of Famer Rod Carew." (He converted. )
