BMW Is Under S.E.C. Investigation

BMW Group, the German car manufacturer, faces an investigation in the United States by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company said Monday.
The inquiry is focusing on the companys sales practices, and the commission contacted BMW within the last month, said a person briefed on the matter but not authorized to speak publicly about details of the investigation.
One sales practice drawing scrutiny, this person said, is car punching, in which some loaner vehicles delivered to dealerships are reported as purchases to improve sales figures.
A spokesman for the S.E.C. said regulators could neither confirm nor deny an investigation. The inquiry was reported earlier by The Wall Street Journal.

(10,434 posts)driving all makes. Not just BMW. Morons on their phones instead of paying attention. Dipshits updating facebook, or twitter, and holding up traffic. Fools who seemingly have blinders on and are unaware of anything going on around them, including the light changing to green. Or that there's someone in the next lane.
I think these self-absorbed pricks are pricks because their attention is on their phone, or they're using one of those insurance "discount" apps, not because of the make of the vehicle.
