Paul Manafort admitted to hospital
Source: CNN
(CNN)Paul Manafort is in the hospital after suffering a heart ailment while in prison, a source familiar with the matter said Tuesday.
The former Trump campaign chairman is serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence in a Pennsylvania prison for financial crimes that stemmed from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.
He was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, lawyer Todd Blanche said. Blanche said Manafort was in stable condition, though he said that he, along with Manafort's family, was being kept in the dark about the full extent of Manafort's medical condition.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment, citing safety and privacy concerns for inmates.

(1,242 posts)After all, if Manafort gets to leave his cell, I would think he would have his attorney maximizing the amount of time before returning.

(53,924 posts)45 days and we'd already be rid of trump.
Enjoy spending the rest of your life in prison (newsflash: being in prison is not good for your health).
And you're a naive sucker if you think trump is going to pardon you. Once he uses you you're no longer any use for him (see Michael Cohen)
And he'll be lucky to keep his own rotten ass out of prison.

(22,990 posts)When I first saw this story on Twitter hours ago, it seemed like the cardiac event happened after today's Gates sentencing.
Guess he hoped no more info would get out.

(5,815 posts)his Grecian Formula his hair is no longer brown. He looks his age. So having a cardiac event should surprise no one. And think about the stress on him and hearing how tRump is throwing people under the bus left and right. And where is Manafort? Cooling his heels in prison. So he is probably not the happiest inmate.
Maybe well learn what really happened to him but maybe not. He probably should be glad he is where he is and not getting polonium sandwiches at chow.

(34,139 posts)And named his family and/or his attorney, his medical caregiver cannot provide it. It's part of HIPPA
With all my various operations and with the illnesses and deaths in my family, I consulted experts and have completed a health care surrogate and living that names who can be told about my medical issues and also names who can make decisions if I am unable. Everyone really should do that just in case.
Also, whenever I have checked into the hospital or increasingly, when I've gone to a new doctor, they have me sign a form to name who can be told about my medical condition.
Manafort may have decided to not let anyone know, other than the medical people at the hospital the prison uses.

Manafort was a sucker. He should've did what Gates did and just be going in for 45 days instead of looking at the rest of his short and sorry life in jail.
trump of all people was not worth it.

(26,334 posts)he could do one before the election.
NCjack
(10,279 posts)That opens the door to other dark thoughts, like within the next 3 years, he could be convicted of a felony and imprisoned. upon that happening, it would comfort him knowing that Manafort is also in jail. So, no pardon for Manafort.
