Mongolian ambassador visited Mar-a-Lago before Trump Jr. got coveted permit to hunt rare sheep

Source: USA Today /Palm Beach Post

PALM BEACH, Fla. – About four months before Donald Trump Jr. went to Mongolia in August, where he reportedly managed to get a coveted permit to kill a threatened-species of sheep after he shot and killed the animal, the Mongolian ambassador and foreign minister visited Mar-a-Lago.

Whether Trump Jr., who was also at Mar-a-Lago celebrating Easter with his children that weekend, met with the Mongolian officials and discussed the hunting trip is not known. Trump Jr. could not be reached for comment, and the Mongolian Embassy in Washington did not respond to questions about the Mar-a-Lago visit.

......................

However, an investigation by ProPublica released Wednesday found that Trump Jr., an avid big-game hunter, received special treatment from the Mongolian government. According to the report, permits to hunt argali sheep are controlled by “an opaque permitting system that experts say is mostly based on money, connections and politics.”

Trump Jr. received the permit on Sept. 2, after he left the region following the hunt, according to ProPublica?s report. Trump Jr. also met with Mongolia’s president, Khaltmaagiin Battuiga, before the leaving the country, according to the report.

I am certain that Jr was just trying to put food on the table of his expanding family. Any one wanna bet that he has zero idea how to process a dead animal to freeze and consume? This is why gun/hunting argument is not 100 percent accurate. Shoot to kill to brag, not feed the family. Evidently he was night hunting with laser sights. Real sportsman. You know we provide all that, the best, latest technology to shoot and all the bullets ya want. Also all the hunting camo clothing you need. Free transportation to hunting grounds and pay you to hunt. The military, you slimy shit bag coward.

How fucked up do you have to be to go to that much trouble to murder an innocent, endangered animal?

Fly over .... the local and national government has already "been greased"
Fly a private plane to remote landing strip
get picked up by a range rover
stay in an upscale yurt for tourists w/your meals made and your bedding taken care of
get some locals to guide you out on very tame horse
have locals who have already spotted and picked out a big ram (you see being an endangered animal you want to
take some of the really good DNA out of the local population)
break out your $5,000 rifle, $1,000 scope, and tripod and shoot the animal @ 1,000 yds +
hike or ride your horse to the corpse
pose with the corpse and talk shit about connecting w/nature and the thrill of the chase
have the horns cut off and shipped home
maybe eat a little of the ram ... btw old ram who has run up and down mountains = tough & gamey meat
fly back to the big city and talk w/some government big wigs
have the horns mounted and put on display @ your big house and play with yourself as you look
at the horns and then tell your friends that liberal tree huggers don't understand about hunting.

I forgot drag your son along so he learns really sick values.

BTW i have hunted for years and this kind of crap pisses me off.

Trump Jr. shot his argali at night, using a rifle with a laser sight, the guides said. He stopped the local hunting guides from dismembering it at the kill site, instead instructing them to use an aluminum sheet to carry the carcass so as not to damage the fur and horns, said Khuandyg Akhbas, 50, one of the guides. He also killed a red deer, which similarly required a permit.

Which is one step above "Least Concerned" and one below the lowest of the 3 "Threatened" levels.
