President Trumps attorneys asked the Supreme Court to block a subpoena for his tax returns issued by a Democrat-led House committee.
Trumps lawyers previously asked the high court to reverse rulings that would allow Manhattan prosecutors to get his tax records as part of a probe of payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels and another woman.
The legal fights come as the House is conducting an impeachment probe of Trump related to his pressuring Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.
Attorneys for President Donald Trump returned to the Supreme Court on Friday to ask the justices for the second day in a row to block a demand for his income tax returns this one from House Democrats.
On Thursday, Trumps lawyers asked the Supreme Court to hear their appeal of a lower-court ruling that would allow the Manhattan District Attorneys Office to obtain eight years worth of Trumps personal and corporate tax returns from his accountants as part of its criminal investigation....................................................

Or is it what we all suspect: either he's not as rich as he claims OR the secret foreign deals he made for $ in building his overseas hotels?

This crook is not aging well and at 73, no tomorrow is assured.
ANYONE LISTENING it would be great if you leaked his last 10 years of returns on 1/2/2020.

Surely the IRS noticed that.
(This is where my husband would say, "All of that is true, but don't call me Shirley.)
Could it be that simple? That if the returns are released we'll find out that he's had to pay back taxes--and hasn't done it--and is headed to the Al Capone future that we're all expecting?

(15,160 posts)To do his bidding. But I'm not sure about Gorsuch or especially Roberts. I think Roberts really cares about what happens to SCOTUS on his watch and doubt that he supports a fully dominant Executive branch.
We shall see.
