The EU27 has agreed that it will accept the UK's request for a #Brexit flextension until 31 January 2020. The decision is expected to be formalised through a written procedure.

“Flextension” means flexible extension. If MPs approve the Brexit deal sooner, the UK could leave the EU before 31 January. Under the draft plan being considered by EU ambassadors this morning, 1 December or 1 January would also be possible dates for Brexit in the event of the deal passing.

"The U.K. must nominate a candidate for EU Commissioner after the extension is granted. However, the wording of the documents suggests that the confirmation process of the British candidate may not be finalized before the end of January, meaning the U.K. won't actually get to have a commissioner"

...while they move the goalposts from "Everything will be awesome!" to "Things won't be quite as bad as the Remainers' worst case scenario, which we will still consider a huge win, like austerity."

Austerity has made British society “less like the rest of Western Europe, with its generous social safety nets and egalitarian ethos, and more like the United States, where millions lack health care and job loss can set off a precipitous plunge in fortunes.” -- Peter Goodman

Daaaaaaaamn, bruh. Accurate, though.

...this constant back and forth must drive a lot of Brits totally crazy, let alone affect their businesses that rely heavily on import/export. That and the overall economy must be on a hair-trigger edge.

Know little about the fine details but I'll suggest this will end up in another vote whereby the whole idea of leaving the EU will be trashed, once and hopefully for all.

They should either tell the UK to reconsider or else it's bye-bye by Halloween. No more extensions.
