The White House says John Kelly 'was totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great President'
Source: Business Insider
The White House press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, told reporters Saturday that former chief of staff John Kelly "was totally unequipped to handle the genius of our great president."
Grisham's remarks came after Kelly attended a political conference hosted by the Washington Examiner, and suggested that President Donald Trump would not be facing a House impeachment inquiry if Kelly were still in his former job.
Kelly worked in the White House between July 2017 and and January 2019. Before that, he served as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
... snip ...
Shortly after Kelly's remarks, Trump himself denied that Kelly discussed the possibility of impeachment with him.
"John Kelly never said that, he never said anything like that. If he would have said that I would have thrown him out of the office. He just wants to come back into the action like everyone else does," Trump said, according to CNN.

(8,200 posts)It reads like a communique of gushing nonsense that the Russian or N. Korea regime press would issue. Lord, just to what depths will this administration take the nation? There seems to no limit to the ridiculous faith in their constituency when they are able to be applauded for outright idiotic drivel.
I long ago lost any faith that the Republican constituency would demonstrate even an iota of intelligent reasoning. It is impossible bridge the gap with people who consistently vote against their own wellbeing. Millions of Republicans who are in desperate need for basic medical care and decent employment for example will continue to sign away with their vote for demagogues their own and their children's any hope for a decent life. It is difficult to garner much sympathy for this howling mob who swallow the propaganda of the white nationalists.
How can they be so blind people ask that they join in with such intense enthusiasm for their own doom? They vast majority are for the most part blinded by their ignorance and will gladly chose to blame the minority for the pitiful conditions in which they themselves. It is a pathetic situation to watch the masses believe the promises that Trump assures them he will be able to achieve, such as the return of jobs lost to automation or outmoded industries that have been displaced with more efficient methods.

(You've come a long way yourself, genius!!!!!) FTR, weeks later when they showed this room full of all white Christmas trees, it was underwhelming. I recalled that article with the picture of them deep in consultation over those swatches.

(38,453 posts)avail. Dealing with Trump is like trying to start a car with no battery and hasn't had any gasoline in the tank in 2 or 3 years. It can't start, and it can't go. Also, someone stole the starter, so it won't start. Donald Trump is much worse than that description. He actually talks out loud, like a talking car in the cartoons: "I don't want to start and that is the way it is. And I am going golfing today." Trump isn't smart enough to realize that he can't go golfing if he cannot start...
