Man drives to police station with body in car, confesses to quadruple homicide in Northern California
Kurtis Alexander Oct. 14, 2019 Updated: Oct. 14, 2019 8:29 p.m.

Four bodies were found in two Northern California communities 200 miles apart on Monday, and authorities say the man responsible walked into a police station and confessed to the crimes.

The suspect, whose identity has not been released, reportedly told officials in the lobby of the Mount Shasta Police Department (Siskiyou County) that he had killed four people in his hometown of Roseville (Placer County), and that one of the victims was in his car.

Mount Shasta Police confirmed the body in the vehicle, and then called the Roseville Police Department, which sent officers to the suspect’s apartment, where three more bodies were found, according to officers in both cities.

The victim’s identities were not released, though investigators believe the assailant and the deceased knew each other. Neither police department speculated on the motive behind the crime.

..isn't exactly helping your lawyer. It's like the first rule of murder.

Emotional problems, signs of POSSIBLE remorse...the killer should have been able to have been helped prior. One does not just up and murder 4 people. That Shasta area is kind of remote. The local law enforcement obviously knows the situation.

On another note, our family has driven through that beautiful country a couple times to and from Portland, and we make our refueling stops very quickly in that area. The first time we stopped, we overheard a garlic farmer speaking who was upset that there were no immigrants to help with harvest and who blamed the social security tax policies for not being having the labor available. He had a long beard and said a 12 hour day was normal, and without a shirt, sporting beard that looked 'vintage' (unwashed) and no shirt under his overalls, I figured a friendly conversation would prove untimely. I wish I would have been able to advise him to arrange for documented labor which he was waiting for crops to mature. I don't know enough about farm labor though.
