Anne Sacoolas Identity revealed of diplomat's wife who fatally hit British teen and claimed immunity

Source: Sky News

The wife of a US diplomat who fatally hit a British teenager and left the country is Anne Sacoolas, Sky News can reveal.

Mrs Sacoolas, 42, has claimed diplomatic immunity and left the UK for America after 19-year-old Harry Dunn was killed in a head-on collision while riding his motorbike.

Police believe Mrs Sacoolas was on the wrong side of the road as she emerged from Northamptonshire's RAF Croughton on 27 August.

Sky News is naming her after earlier revealing a deal gives diplomats and their families at the US spy base diplomatic immunity.

This lad was killed because she was driving on the wrong side of the road over the brow of a hill. She told police that she has no intention to leave UK jurisdiction then high tailed it back to the US. Diplomatic immunity my arse. She is married to someone who does stuff, and therefore gets to escape any investigation of what happened that night. That sticks.

When situations can be dodgy. For example, in Istanbul my father was the highest ranking army officer. Definitely not good if he'd ended up in a Turkish prison for something that could be prevented. With that in mind, dad was given two chauffeurs so he could never be responsible for a traffic accident. Made sense.

the UK isn't exactly turkey. They were investigating this as a crime, which tells me it wasn't just a case of distraction or a blind spot. Accidents are terrible things, but they aren't typically investigated as crimes.

That indicates alcohol, reckless driving, or road rage of some kind. If it was just an accident, why not just stick around and cooperate?

Is her husband a political appointee or career officer of some kind?

Prosecute.

Diplomatic immunity is bullshit. Commit the crime, do the time. I don't give a fuck who you are.

Parking tickets is one thing. Death is quite another. And she isn't the actual diplomat, she's married to one.

This is one of my favorite YouTube channels and the announcer is excellent. It is called Today I Found Out. They take viewer questions and answer them. The following is about this very topic.

My son, an American, was over in London. He had a minor fender bender with his rental car.
He told me that the police did a road side DUI check on both himself and the other driver as a routine
step in the accident investigation. Not based on suspicion, but just a routine thing.
Can anyone here tell me if that's so? And, if it is, and this diplomat's wife was intoxicated,
the police would have known at the scene.

a few weeks so I would venture to guess she spaced out. I would hope that she wasn't drunk with her 12 year old son in the car, but who knows. Still, she killed someone with her carelessness and should pay the price.

This isn't a parking ticket. Killing someone shouldn't be covered by diplomatic immunity.
