Rep. Adam Schiff: The whistleblower wants to speak
Source: CNN
Rep. Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, just tweeted that the whistleblower's attorney has informed the committee that he would like to testify.
The testimony, he said, could happen as soon as this week.

About the whistleblower's complaint: CNN had earlier reported, citing a source familiar with the case, that the complaint was prompted by concerns over communications between the President and a foreign leader. The alleged whistleblower didn't have direct knowledge of the communications that partly prompted the complaint to the inspector general, an official briefed on the matter told CNN on Thursday.
Instead, the whistleblower's concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration's determination that the complaint didn't fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said.

(23,147 posts)He's drumpfs' stooge all the way, so asking him is a deal killer and I wonder why it's being done because he certainly knows he will be fired or jailed (these fuckers are mean) if he speaks out.

We were so happy at Tricky Dicks resignation. We actually thought that the era of corrupt warmongers was over.

are you still traveling? how is it going? I keep watching the Lounge to see if you have posted about your trip. got my first knee done in July, and your stories helped me get through it!

(34,137 posts)We spent time at the Royal Mews, looking at the Queen's horses and carriages, then off to the British Museum, back there again, and a day each at the Victoria & Albert and the Natural History Museum. Tomorrow it's back to those two to catch things we missed and maybe the Science Museum.
Tried to hook up with Soph but our schedules didn't mesh. Thursday we head off to Oxford, then Wales.
My blog is weeks behind but you can check it out at http://www.woodswell.com/wp It's hard to post in Scotland - too many places with no internet or cell phone service. Then when we got to England my laptop got bricked. I had to get a new one and get the stuff set back up for posting. Plus I was sick for about a week - still got to sight-see but was just too tired to write. My husband blames it on the 500 pictures a day I'm taking - he's only exaggerating a little. So far I've taken about 8,000 pictures.
Good news about your knee. Hope it has healed well. By now you should be getting around on it pretty good. When is the other one scheduled?

(55,019 posts)started your blog and will get back to it, thanks for the link!
I had a set back with the knee on my second day of PT (ripped a short part of the incision open and had to take an ambulance ride to the ER) which then led to the discovery of a small infection in a different location. I ended up spending 2 1/2 weeks laying around on my back on a couple of different antibiotics. in August. in a house with no AC. it was kind of rough, but all OK now. so different to be able to walk on that leg with no pain. regained 0 degrees extension (it had been stuck at ~ 10 degrees for three years) and about 120 flex, hope to keep working to get that a little better as it can feel kind of stiff in the pool. trying to decide when to do the next. I am pretty much mentally and physically ready but have a lot to catch up on around here. until yesterday's rain I was afraid we were going to have to do a major herd reduction but we are safe now. may try in November, otherwise January. I never used a cane, just skipped over that. The walker started getting in my way in the house and I was constantly leaving it behind. for me it was like those stories of folks getting a bypass and suddenly being so much better. I mean I didn't suddenly turn skinny and 20 again, but it is still a vast improvement!

(34,137 posts)I don't know how you made it through the no AC time. I can no longer tolerate much temperature variation, either hot or cold. You are much tougher than I am!
The major reason I did both knees the same year was that I reached my maximum out of pocket total with the first one. Plus, I did the "better" knee first and the second was so much worse by the time I healed, I was ready for another operation right away.
Yeah, the walker never really helped by the time I finish in-patient physical therapy. I'd use it in public to make people keep out of my way and so no one hassled me when I used my temporary handicap permit (the one the surgeon insisted on and that I only used when my husband didn't drive me).
Oh, hell - I KNOW what it is like to have a heart procedure and suddenly feel so much better! Remember, in 2017 I had an aortic valve replacement with a minimally invasive procedure? A week after the operation I went for a long walk with my husband, something I'd planned to do after my knee replacements but couldn't because I felt as though I couldn't breath. The knees were a relief from pain, the heart reinvigorated me since I was getting more oxygen throughout my body.
Take care - and I am glad you don't have to cut your herd.

(9,426 posts)who puts country before party. Quite a feat for a gop cult member. If he worked in the WH, he certainly was not a (D). John Dean from the Watergate trial thinks Barr, Pence, Guilliani and others need to be removed from office, too. The entire lawless gang needs to be made to face their crimes against the USA.

(10,839 posts)If he didn't have direct knowledge how was the complaint even sourced? Or is this more gaslighting by the usual suspects? And suddenly Trump is more than happy to turn over the transcript? You know that's only if he believes he can wriggle out of the on-going scandal.
Something wicked this way comes.

The whistleblower doesn't need to be the actual person who witnessed the perfidy, just someone who know about it and can verify it.
This, to me, is even better.

(17,276 posts)they didn't get the information on the job, but some other way. A loophole that the DNI sought to use to try to deny the WB's report.

(333 posts)Why would the whistleblower consult with the DNI when the DNI is consulting with barr and trump. The DNI turned the complaint over to Barr and Barr blocked it. The DNI should have sent the complaint directly to congress. So why would you trust any of them? Either the whistleblower is being controlled by barr or this is all a big joke on the media and democrats!!
