Romney Leak: Obama Supporters Dependent on Government.

Source: HuffPo

WASHINGTON -- The overwhelming majority of voters who back President Barack Obama do so because they are "dependent on government" and "believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing," Mitt Romney told a closed-door gathering of about 30 major donors earlier this year, according to video of the event that has surfaced on the Internet.

They could do that because they were rich.

Contrary to the crazy economic theories of the Republicans, not everyone can be rich.

The poor are with us always. That is why Jesus healed the poor and helped the poor.

But not Romney, not the Republicans. They may be Christians with their mouths, but they are not with Jesus in their hearts. Because if you read the Bible, you know that what Mitt Romney said in when he met with his group of followers is diametrically opposed to what Jesus said when he met with his followers. It's right there in the Gospel of Matthew for everyone to read.

We should be healing the sick and caring for the poor -- healing all sick, not just the rich ones, not those who can manage their lives well. And we should be providing and feeding all of the poor -- not just those who can find jobs in this economy, not just those who are sane enough and organized enough and young enough and fit enough to work.

Imagine what the world would be like, imagine the suffering, the hunger, the need, the pain in a world in which only those who could take care of themselves had food, clothing, medical care and education. I do not want to live in that world.

Do you?

That means you're a communist, a socialist, a traitor, and anything else the Republicans like to call us!

I completely agree with you. I don't understand why, as a society, we devalue the work and labor that the bottom tier of our society contributes. We need bus drivers, construction workers, and janitors. We wouldn't have crap if there weren't a virtual army of low wage earners working in our factories or illegal immigrants picking our fruit.

As a society, we benefit tremendously from the labor of the people I mentioned above. We owe it to them to provide them health care and a minimum level of subsistence. Their children should be entitled to the same American dream as the children of the middle class or the rich.

But I guess I'm just a bleeding heart liberal pinko commie for spouting such rhetoric

What the walking lie and gaffe machine, Mitt Romney, doesn't bother to point out is that the "red" states are the ones most inclined to be dependent on government.

Now, the "good Republicans" living in those states might argue that they are hardworking small business owning units of profitability and that all the blacks, latinos and lazy libtards are the only ones sucking up the federal aid (and they do constantly make that lame argument). But what the casual and unbiased observer standing on the outside looking in is more likely to see is an entrenched culture of racism, cronyism, hatred and a host of other negative attributes that render the Red state, as a whole, dependent on federal aid.

39. Actually, I am a government dependent. I'm disabled.
Mon Sep 17, 2012, 06:30 PM
Sep 2012

I manifested an incurable chronic pain syndrome at age 17, and now (at age 27), the government deems me disabled. The administrative law judge's decision came with the statement that there'd be no work in this economy for someone with my circumstances and limitations.

I rely heavily upon the government for my survival, and it took a while to not be ashamed of that. What was I supposed to do, though? Not take the medical assistance and burden my parents? Keel over and die for lack of things existing programs could've helped me with?

I receive SSI payments every month. I also receive food stamps and Medicaid. My monthly payment, as well as the other assistance, goes back into the economy regardless of where I need to spend it. It does benefit people.

I'm not a leech, I'm not entitled. I am just doing what I have to do to survive. Trust me when I say that, though I am deeply grateful for the assistance I receive, it leaves me well below the poverty line. Nobody would choose to endure the kind of daily suffering I do for the small sum of assistance it brings.

This kind of BS is why I can never, ever trust them. They hate people like me who aren't capable of being worker ants. We're not people to them, we're just problematic to their bottom line.

If the Republicans decide to come after 'dependents' like me, I would have no choice but to move to one of many countries which still treats its disabled and elderly citizens with dignity. President Obama heads up the party that gives a damn.

ROMNEY: "There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax."

These are the same exact lies that Rush is vomiting out daily, that we see so many Yahoo posters repeating thousands of times each day. It is all part of the BIG LIE narrative that Romney is driving like a stake right into the heart of America.

Fortunately, this big lie isn't working. Not this time.

entitled to food, healthcare, and shelter? How young must a child be for entitlement to such things--Under 6? Under 10? When should society start worrying about diminishing a child's incentives for work?

Are only the poor themselves the advocates of entitlement to food, healthcare, and shelter? Do you believe Ayn-Rand selfishness is appropriate for American society, and that it is universal among those who are not poor?

If elected, would you seek to abolish the Earned Income Tax Credit for the poor, while you simultaneously lavish generous tax cuts on the wealthy? Why do you think tax breaks for the poor diminish their work incentives, while tax breaks for the wealthy stimulate work incentives?

is that we Obama supporters are perfectly willing to pay for our health care, but we are just not willing to be raped by the insurance companies.

I would really like to see how this d!@k would do on 1800/month income or less. Lets him see how a HUGE number of American citizens have to survive on a day to day basis. Better yet, have him work in a job with no health care.

Speaking of health care, those in congress and the senate receive federal health care that is far better that we could afford. Let them give that up and try to buy health care on the open market. I'm sure that with their pre-existing conditions they would feel our burn in the checking account.

He thinks that all Obama supporters want the government to pay for food and housing? Those on welfare have that but they need it. Does he want the charity programs showing children with bloated bellies and skeletal bodies to be filmed here because the poor have no food while the likes of him live it up? I'm sure that scumbag hasn't missed a meal. Maybe if things get tough he and Queen Anne can eat their horse.
