Mulvaney: Attempt to move USS John McCain during Trump visit 'not unreasonable'

Source: the hill

By Rebecca Klar - 06/02/19 11:23 AM EDT

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that it wasn't "unreasonable" for an administration staffer to ask that the USS John S. McCain be hidden during President Trump's Japan visit last week.

Mulvaney said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that he believes it was a "probably somebody on the advance team" who told the Navy to hide the ship based on the president's feelings toward late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

"The president's feelings towards the former senator are well known," Mulvaney said, adding that firing someone over the request "is silly."

"The fact that some 23- or 24-year-old person on the advance team went to that site and said, 'Oh my goodness. There's the John McCain. We all know how the president feels about the former senator. Maybe that's not the best backdrop. Can somebody look into moving it?' That's not an unreasonable thing to ask," Mulvaney said.

The Navy on Saturday confirmed receiving a request to "minimize visibility" of the USS John S. McCain, named for late senator's grandfather. ........................................

the most outrageous crock of BULLSHIT I've ever heard from anybody serving as an advisor, aide, or government official.
WHERE THE HELL does he see this as being "reasonable?"
What planet is he from?
Has he EVER held a job as an "adult?"

The notion is so preposterous that all of DC should RISE UP and chase his ass out of town, you know, using those torches that so many "good people on both sides" use!

If a person serving as a "presidential chief-of-staff" thinks this craziness is anywhere near reasonable, we have a fool serving a fool!

It is unreasonable. It is paranoid. That people around trump feel they have anticipate moving a USN ship because trump might have a hissy fit is not only unreasonable, it is f*n CRAZY.

While I don't doubt the claim that Trump didn't directly ask for this. I do doubt that some intern or junior level staff member was responsible for unilaterally asking the navy to hide a warship. They should just admit that everyone who works in this administration knows that Trump is a petulant child, and they were worried he lacks the maturity to handle seeing a ship named after the family of a person who he had a feud with.

I wonder if Trump is self-aware enough to realize the fact that this demonstrates just how lowly his own people think of him.

The premise for his carrier landing was that the ship was too far out to sea for a helicopter to reach. Unfortunately, it was parked just offshore of San Diego, with the hills and high rise buildings of the city quite obvious in the background. So the ship was turned 180 degrees and the illusion was complete!

Personally, I don't think Bush made the flight. The evidence just isn't there. There were no pictures or videos of him walking out to the aircraft at Miramar NAS, no in-cockpit shots (the Blue Angels do that all the time with media people), and no video of him climbing out of the airplane on the carrier with sailors saluting him. He just magically appears from behind the island, with his parachute crotch straps still connected to give the illusion of a big package.

As far as the "too far for helicopters" goes, how did the news media get there?

Back to the topic at hand, what was disgusting wasn't Fat Donnie's denial of knowing about the faux pas, put that he used it to list everything he hates about John McCain. To wit:

And the media always said he flew a fighter plane to the carrier. And even if he flew out there, he surely didn't land it. And it was an S2 -- which is a supply plane. (We called it a Hoover because of the sound it made, but regardless it isn't in any way a fighter).

ship, so your narcissistic psychopathic golf asshole buddy wouldn't have a fit, tells me two things about you and him, first, the taxpayers would have adsorbed the cost of that move and both you wouldn't have given a shit right, but you can give other assholes in your boat and hit the taxpayers with a 1.5 trillion dollar debt to absorbed right asshole, that not's still being paid for, right asshole?

And, second, as a supposedly grown man such as yourself, why do you let a three year old drive your libertarian asshole life to reinforce his immature life of bullshit, and then you have a goofy smile on your face like you enjoy it......................and while this is all going on, you are having a great time fucking the taxpayers having a three year old mental asshole fucking the entire population, with his sniveling asinine baby whining mentality............
