Roger Stone asks judge to dismiss indictment and to order he get copy of full Mueller report

Source: Washington Post

Roger Stone’s defense fired a volley of legal attacks at special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s Russia investigation Friday, asking a federal judge to dismiss Stone’s indictment for lying to Congress and obstructing justice and to order that Stone receive a full unredacted copy of Mueller’s recently completed report.

“No other person, Committee, or entity has Stone’s constitutionally based standing to demand the complete, unredacted Report,” Stone’s attorneys argued on behalf of the longtime confidant of President Trump. Only then “can he determine whether the Report contains material which could be critical to his defense,” or if he was selectively prosecuted, they wrote in a series of motions.

Prosecutors have until May 3 to answer Stone’s flurry of legal objections, typical at this stage of a criminal trial, and which included challenges to the funding of Mueller’s office and to Mueller’s authorization as special counsel — an objection courts have rejected several times when raised previously by other defendants in Mueller’s probe.

I have received begging letters from both him and his wife. They want donations for his legal bills. He claims to be a "dirty trickster" and proud of it. I would not give him a dime. Let his good friend tRump help pay his bills, or even W since he orchestrated that Brooks Brothers raid in Florida that cost Al Gore the presidency and handed it to W. He took a planeload of men in suits to disrupt the recount of the Florida votes. It worked, Roger was so proud of himself. Little weasel is no patriot. He should have been in prison long ago.

If so, you should stuff as much other junk mail into the envelope as will fit -- after carefully removing your address from those pieces -- seal it and drop it in a mailbox. They are required to pay return postage, usually first-class.

Or, you could leave your address on them, just to let them know of your feelings about the "trickster." One dirty trick deserves another...

They complain about the "pre-dawn raid" on their home. They are damn lucky no shots were fired, then they would have something to complain about. I hear that he wears a Rolex. He could sell that. He also was on some station, complaining that Alex Jones has not donated, after he expected "25 large" from his old friend. He likely has his own begging letter making the rounds, only he is claiming to be mentally impaired. Roger's head is shaped like a wedge, probably from cramming it up tRump's ample orange arse. Despicable people. The gop attracts the scum of the earth.

offensive. Because they know it pays off. It has for them for decades.

If this attempt doesn't work, they have another in the waiting, and another and another. Always on the offensive. They know eventually they wear the system down and escape with minimum damage in contrast to their huge gain.

Personally, I think these people need to be stripped of citizenship and any rights that go with it -- like voting and legal residence in the US (make them illegals). Send them to Russia, the Ukraine, Saudi Arabia where there true loyalties lie.

Oh, and that's the most compassionate of the things that cross my mind when I think of penalties we ought to carry out against/things we should do to these people.

I'm sure the attitude will help him in interactions with prison staff and fellow prisoners.
