Trump inauguration took money from shell companies tied to foreigners
Source: The Guardian
Donald Trumps inauguration received tens of thousands of dollars from shell companies that masked the involvement of a foreign contributor or others with foreign ties.
The Guardian has identified the creators of three obscure firms that contributed money to Trumps inaugural committee, which collected a record $107m as he entered the White House in 2017.
The three companies each gave $25,000 to Trumps inaugural fund. At least one of the contributions was made for a foreign national who appears ineligible to make political donations in the US.
A spokesman for Thomas Barrack, the chairman of Trumps inauguration committee, declined to comment. The contributors denied wrongdoing.

(4,037 posts)My passionate curiosity about Manaforts work with the Russians is turning into disallusionment. As you stated, we appear to be at a standstill. Will the pending SDNY case be based on conspiracy, collusion, or is it another case of fraud that shields the Goof Ball In Chief of wrong doing? Honestly, this all has gone on long enough. Maybe Mueller or Barr would prefer that the investigation fizzle out for whatever reason - as if we the public couldnt handle the truth, or, and its a big or, there is nothing criminal to be revealed. There certainly has been no shortage of stupidity emanating from the Black House. This thing needs to end.
