Fifth arrest made on election-related crimes connected to NC-9 investigation
By WBTV Web Staff | March 4, 2019 at 4:34 PM EST - Updated March 7 at 8:04 PM
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - Five people have now been arrested on election-related crimes connected to the investigation into election fraud in North Carolina’s 9th District.

On Thursday, the NC State Bureau of Investigation said Rebecca D. Thompson was arrested after she turned herself in at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office. She is charged with conspiracy to commit felonious obstruction of justice and possession of absentee ballot.

Caitlyn Croom was arrested Sunday around 11:30 a.m. in New Hanover County. Then on Tuesday, Tonia Marie Gordon and Matthew Monroe Mathis were also taken into custody and each was charged with felonious obstruction of justice and possession of an absentee ballot. Mathis was also charged with falsely signing certification on an absentee ballot.

Croom, Gordon and Mathis are three of four individuals who were indicted with McCrae Dowless for charges of illegally collecting absentee ballots related to the ongoing investigation into absentee ballot irregularities in Bladen County during the 2016 General Election and the 2018 Primary Election.

1. Still haven't arrested the guy who hired these people despite knowing their activity was criminal

It's good to be an old white male Republican politician, isn't it? As long as there are employees/peons/human shields for prosecutors to focus on, you can skate on your criminal involvement.

He's probably holding dirt or something over some LE or judge's head. Bladen County is crazy corrupt.

I feel pretty confident they were secretaries and underlings but they'll do jailtime rather than the well-connected creep they worked for ( and got threatened by ), before that lawbreaking scum every see the inside of the cell he belongs in.

fraud is discovered. I wonder what factor(s) in this case caused the decision to re-do the election (I have not done the homework on this yet) -- whereas, in the past, the decisions have usually resulted in a candidate being certified as winner, or eligible for a runoff, but never a re-do.

Voter might make one or two votes.

Election fraud shifts thousands of votes.

Make sure they aren't tried by Judge Ellis.

voter rolls in time for 2016 election.

https://www.gregpalast.com/election-stolen-heres/

Starting in 2013 – just as the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act – a coterie of Trump operatives, under the direction of Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State, created a system to purge 1.1 million Americans of color from the voter rolls of GOP–controlled states.

--------
The purging had not stopped as of 2018 elections - Palast has lists posted on his website.
Would be interesting to see graph of how many millions of votes were affected by gerrymandering, absentee ballot theft & purging, provisional purging, nonverifiable voting machines, broken machines, underdeployment of machines, misinformation about voting, voter id laws, consolidation of places to vote, and much more!!!

I know I'm not the only person who's thought that if some of these stupid, gullible election workers started going to jail, a lot of this election-stealing crap might end.

I hope this puts the fear of tampon slippers in the shower into any woman asked to participate in these crimes. I also hope they all detail who hired them and who hired the ones who hired them.
