Pence Calls Omar Tweets A 'Disgrace,' Says She Should 'Face Consequences'

Vice President Mike Pence joined his boss in criticizing freshman Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who was accused of anti-Semitism earlier this week, and suggested that she should “face consequences” for the comments.

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchel reported that by “consequences,” Pence thinks Omar should be kicked off the House Foreign Affairs Committee, an idea that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has suggested as well.

Pence didn’t go quite as far as the President in his critique of Omar — who’s been accused of tweeting an anti-Semitic trope while calling out the American Israel Public Affairs Committee pro-Israel efforts in the U.S.
