Report: Undocumented Employees Fired from Philly Trump Golf Club

The Trump Organization has reportedly fired more undocumented workers, this time at its golf club in Pine Hill, New Jersey. The New York Times reports that about five workers at the club, known as Trump National Golf Club Philadelphia, were fired or told not to return to work. Two of the five were reportedly seasonal employees who were scheduled to return in the spring, and one source told the Times many others are expected to get fired in the coming weeks. “Just like that, I got fired,” kitchen worker Victor Reyes told the newspaper. “The manager called me and asked, ‘Victor, are you legal?’ I said, ‘No, I am not legal.’ It surprised me because I knew he knew that I was illegal. I have worked for him 16 years and then he asks me.” A Trump Organization spokesperson declined to comment to the Times about the Pine Hill firings, but claimed after earlier firings in New York and New Jersey clubs that they had been duped by the false documents of their employees. “Our employees are like family, but when presented with fake documents, an employer has little choice,” Eric Trump, an executive vice president with the Trump Organization, said earlier this week. ................

the percentage of republicans who have undocumented workers in their employ, just so they don't have to pay a legal citizen a living wage to do the same job. I'm willing to bet there are more than a few Democrats who do it as well. I'd certainly hope not, but I think it would be a losing wager, people being people.

Direction often comes from the top. I worked in a small organization, and knew who was here illegally and who wasn't. But if you looked in the file I had to keep with nice copies of all the official documentation allowing me to file the I-9 form for them, you'd swear that they were born and raised in the US as American citizens from birth.

The owner vaguely assumed that some were illegally present, had no problem with them as long as they worked hard and cost little (she was a firm feminist and strongly (D)). But she made sure that her butt was covered and she could honestly answer, "I didn't have any evidence that Gertrude McFarland, age 38, was actually Maria Alvarez, age 18". The VP, when I said that at least one employee was here illegally, was surprised--and he was far more hands-on than the owner was. And he told me not to say who it was.

Another place I worked at I was clearly peripheral and a short-termer, but they made sure that their core staff were all here legally, even though at least 2/3 were immigrants. They had to get security clearances. The freelancers they were rather more loose with--nothing classified got sent out, and they just asked us to photocopy documents for their files. Since they didn't actually see me, I could have used anybody's documents and name; only when I had to work on the premises did they actually need to see my actual ID and compare it with my face prior to issuing me a valid ID, since I was going to be in the same space as classified documents (just not allowed in certain parts of the area; and the documents were to be either in the presence of the person they were assigned to or put away under lock and key).

Did Trump spring into action to make sure those criminals,murderers,rapists and sex traffickers no longer worked for him. Now he'll have to get some of those H1's like he uses by the hundreds at Mar-a-logo.

Claiming they had no idea they were undocumented immigrants, when the truth will prove they not only knew, but helped them get illegal documents to present to them. They hired them because like at other properties these people were cheaper to employ like the visa immigrants he also uses at many of his properties instead of Americans. The opposite of his claims again to make America great again, and while he still has production of his goods overseas in China and elsewhere. They got caught or this wouldn't be happening with their release now.
