Collins: I'm not prepared to endorse Trump for 2020

Source: The Hill

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said Tuesday that she was not yet prepared to endorse President Trump’s reelection bid in 2020.

The senator told PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff that she was focused on her own reelection in 2020 and was not paying much attention to the presidential campaign. "I'm not prepared at this point to make that decision,” Collins said.

Woodruff asked if Collins would endorse the president between now and Election Day.

“I don’t know, I’m going to have to see what happens between now and then and look at what his record is,” Collins said. "I can’t imagine that I would endorse any of the Democrats who are running right now but I’m going to focus on 2020 in 2020.”

Once again, "moderate" Republicans are expressing their "concern."

Like she was "not yet" ready to vote for Kavanaugh's confirmation.

But she did vote for Kavanaugh, and she will endorse Trump if he runs again.

the Sunday talking heads shows. Then she will smirk, whine her way through an interview, saying all the right things. She ALWAYS ends up siding with the gop. Jellyfish Collins is a wimp. Then she gets more publicity from explaining WHY she went with the gop schemes. Waste of time and space. Useful to the gop, though.

More often than not she behaves like an utterly spineless, false-equivalency spewing, credulously talking-point repeating mockery of journalism.

It is a shame because the News Hour, despite her, is still the best daily news program on broadcast television but could be so, so much better.

Watching her interview Collins on an infinite video loop would be my own personal hell.

That is totally disgusting. Susan Collins justified her vote by claiming it was a case of mistaken identity!

Susan Collins was a 'right time, right place' candidate...
She was in a three person primary race and so far back she could not even see the other two candidates' tail lights.

The millionaire candidate sponsored an investigation of the evangelist candidate who got run out of a southern state because he was boinking his twelve year old babysitter.

The millionaire denied his involvement but the public turned against both him and the evangelist, leaving Susan Collins as the sole remaining candidate.
