Longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone says he’s falsely accused after indictment by special counsel in Russia investigation

By Devlin Barrett, Rosalind S. Helderman, John Wagner and Manuel Roig-Franzia January 25 at 12:39 PM

Roger J. Stone Jr., a longtime informal adviser to President Trump, was arrested Friday by the FBI in Florida on charges that he lied and tried to tamper with a witness to hide his efforts to learn about releases of Democrats’ hacked emails during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Stone was charged with seven counts, including one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering. After the early morning arrest at his home, he appeared briefly in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans, and steel shackles on his wrists and ankles. The judge ordered him released on a $250,000 bond.

Speaking before a raucous crowd outside the courthouse, Stone vowed to fight the case.

“I will plead not guilty to these charges. I will defeat them in court,” he said. Some in the crowd jeered and chanted “lock him up.” Others shouted support for Stone.

5. When Mueller has won

When Mueller has won, on all counts it then goes to the Dept. of Justice for prosecution.

It has been shown time and time again that Trump/Republican Senate OWNS THE DEPT OF JUSTICE and absolutely nothing will happen to any of them..........

Even if they do somehow get found guilty, Trump will Pardon them all. (Just like Daddy Bush did after Reagan's entire administration was found guilty.)

If his pardon is challenged it will go all the way to the
Supreme Court and we all know how that will turn out.

Trump can only pardon them for federal crimes. Manafort, Cohen, Papadapolous, Flynn and everybody else could have been hit with a ton more charges each, but Mueller left them open to be prosecuted at the state level.

MR. STONE: The only person I have advocated a pardon for is Marcus Garvey.

I doubt it, he is a trickster and will aim for a pardon. Is he charged with anything in any of the state courts like Manafort and Cohen are?
