Trump to Romney after op-ed: 'Be a team player & win'
Source: The Hill
President Trump struck back at incoming Utah Sen.-elect Mitt Romney (R) on Wednesday after Romney challenged the president's character in an op-ed, suggesting that Romney should be more supportive of his party.
In a tweet, the president called on the incoming senator to "focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful," while questioning whether he would serve a role as frequent critic similar to former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who did not run for reelection last year.
"Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast! Question will be, is he a Flake? I hope not," Trump wrote Wednesday morning.
"Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful. I won big, and he didnt. He should be happy for all Republicans. Be a TEAM player & WIN!" he added.

(1,533 posts)I do like "No Collusion" as an incoherent death babble, but it is so recent that everyone will know it as an incoherent babble, it already is. For there to be something of a mystery, a thing from his youth that he longs for, like his mother's hair - "Beeeeehive......"

(37,648 posts)He's secure being elected by his state, and richer than Trump. Humorous to say "Follow me and WIN!" Romney didn't win the Republican nomination, but he has "won" almost all his life.
Someone posted, though, that they thought Romney had traded loyalty for a favor from Trump, as Prez. I wonder. I cant' recall the details.

(7,218 posts)You won "bigly, eh?
In 2012 Obama got 51.1% of the popular vote.
In 2016 Hillary Clinton got 48.2% of the popular vote.
In 2012 Mitt Romney got 47.2% of the popular vote.
In 2016, YOU, you cretinous liar, got 46.1% of the popular vote.
In a field of four - you finished fourth!
Even Mitt Romney got a LARGER percentage of the popular vote than YOU did!
And yet you claim, "I won big, and he didn't."
So congratulations on getting FEWER votes than any candidate since 2012.
Oh, and eff off.
