In an early Saturday morning series of tweets, President Donald Trump made a fantastic boast while again claiming vindication in special counsel Robert Muellers probe.
Trump began his morning by claiming protesters in France have been chanting we want Trump! on the streets of Paris.
The commander-in-chief then lashed out at special counsel Robert Mueller the day after his own Justice Department listed him as an unindicted co-conspirator in a related case.

Trump proudly boasts France 'wants' him in early morning tweet after Mueller bombshells

President Donald Trump started off his first morning after special counsel Robert Mueller dropped two bombshell filings late Friday tying him to Russian collusion by claiming he is popular in France.
Noting the protests in Paris, Trump tweeted: "The Paris Agreement isn't working out so well for Paris. Protests and riots all over France. People do not want to pay large sums of money, much to third world countries (that are questionably run), in order to maybe protect the environment. Chanting 'We Want Trump!' Love France."

And according to Politifact, direct costs for the Mueller probe is $7.7 million. Direct and indirect costs $16.7 million, pocket change next to what his family costs this country.

Second, the value of property taken from Manafort is worth more than $30 million. Third--since so much of the report have been redacted, we don't have proof of "no colluusion"; but we DO have proof of numerous other crimes.
And finally--how much time was wasted on Hillary's e-mails and Bengazi without ANY indictments? Yeah...

(70,567 posts)Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation could turn a profit for the government, thanks to Paul Manafort's asset forfeiture
* Special counsel Robert Mueller secured a win last Friday, with President Donald Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, pleading guilty to conspiracy charges and agreeing to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
* Mueller may have also paid for his own investigation.
* That's because, as part of his plea deal with the special counsel, Manafort agreed to forfeit real estate and cash estimated to be worth between $42 million and $46 million.

(9,075 posts)and explains that the gas tax isn't about hating socialism...
The video explains;
The video is from a far right rally in June in the UK in support for far right activist Tommy Robinson.
The riots in Paris are against Macron using the gas tax not to expand social welfare benefits, but the opposite. It's about using the tax to make the economy more pro business and scale back labor protections.
PatSeg
(47,573 posts)Protesters were NOT chanting "We want Trump". They were protesting the fuel taxes and a very pro business president who is cutting social welfare programs.
But Macron, a former investment banker, isnt using the tax to support or expand social welfare benefits quite the opposite, in fact. Its part of his broader plan to reform the French economy to make it more pro-business.
Hes been cutting spending to popular, longstanding social welfare programs and has been scaling back labor protections. For instance, hes made it easier for companies to hire and fire employees and fought unions to end subsidies for certain sectors.
snip
While the protests may have started over the fuel tax, they have since morphed into a broader indictment of Macrons handling of the French economy and his perceived elitist disregard for the effects his policies are having on Frances working class.
