On Tuesday, despite people's wishes, President Donald Trump traveled to Pittsburgh to pay his respects to the lives lost in the Synagogue massacre.
During CNN's Jake Tapper Tuesday show, national correspondent Miguel Marquez said that he was shocked at how 'how big' and 'how quickly' the protest against Trump's visit grew.
According to Marquez, there are two different protests taking place. Marquez said that protest was not planned 24 hours ago. The Tweets below illustrate how big the protest against Trump's visit truly is.

(32,639 posts)I'm watching local channel 11 WPXI (the NBC affiliate) and so far they haven't mentioned any local protests against Trump. If it weren't for this Raw Story tweet I wouldn't have known what's happening, but CNN is covering it.
Thanks for the heads-up!

(22 posts)This is the kind of propaganda the rightwing media uses - selective reporting. They wont' even mention bad news for the president. If at all possible I suggest NEVER watching a Sinclair station. Just switch to a different station if you can.
That's what I did when Sinclair bought a station in my home market. Blech. Turn off Sinclair.

Good for you, Pittsburgh. Don't accept his crap.

(6,831 posts)As the mayor said, Pittsburgh's focus should be on memorializing and burying the dead and comforting their families, not on president malignant narcissist/white supremacist. It truly reveals just how uncaring, unfeeling, unsympathetic he is, how little empathy and humanity he has and just how massive the size of his ego is.
I am so sick of him and his shtick.

The protestors are singing the Mi Sheiberach, the Jewish prayer of healing, with their arms wrapped around each other.

It's quite difficult some days, but I try to keep my emotions in check and deal with things rationally. Dolt 45 and his kooky cultists thrive on anger and hatred. Just witness how much joy it gives them to "trigger the libtards." Don't give them what they want.

(1,474 posts)I am not Jewish, but innocents were slaughtered. I grieve for them, their loved ones, the Jewish People, and all of America. This is a personal tragedy and an American Horror Story, not an event to politicize.
GulfCoast66
(11,949 posts)But the horrendous slaughter was in itself political. No getting around that at this point.
The slaughter in the house of worship in Charleston was also political and it certainly had its own ramifications.
I see it as a case of righteous indignation.
