(per a news report I heard here in Philly last night) it instills fear even in natively-born U.S. citizen Hispanics, who don't want the hassle of being targeted and questioned or even threatened with deportation to who knows where.... even with them being multi-generational legal U.S. citizens and often having had U.S.-born families here longer than the ones going after them, whose own families only recently got off boats from Europe (like the current occupant of the WH).

are a myriad of different nationalities and ethnicities - some of which have been at-odds with each other for centuries. I.e., they are not a monolith. They merely share the same language.

And ironically, no one lumps the francophones like the Haitians, Senagalese, Algerians, Congolese, Guadeloupeans, and French Canadians of Quebec, all together as a monolith.
