Police presence at Collins' Bangor home Monday afternoon after suspicious letter received
Source: Bangor Daily News
A heavy law enforcement presence was seen at the private home of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins Monday afternoon to investigate what police are calling a suspicious envelope sent to her West Broadway residence.
Police responded to Collins house at 1:39 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, to investigate a report of the envelope that had been delivered sometime earlier that day, said Sgt. Wade Betters of the Bangor Police Department. He declined to describe why the envelope was deemed suspicious and deferred questions to the U.S. Capitol Police.
Collins, a Republican, was not at home Monday afternoon as members of the Bangor Criminal Investigation Division, the Bangor Fire Department and a HAZMAT team from Orono investigated her home.

(14,174 posts)To show how evil, and unhinged those liberals and anti-fa and Soros, and Clintons are. 'angry liberals' and 'mob rule' and whatever else they can call it. Fire up their pre-conditioned base. To hand them fresh meat to get them riled up for November.
Look, it may have been someone with left of center politics, a Democratic voter. But history shows that it very rarely is someone from the left that engages in this kind of violent terrorist behaviour. I suspect it will be found that its not even any threat. Just a prop they used. But it does the job anyways, gives Fox News a story to milk and twist for awhile.

(4,066 posts)Come on. We know that our side doesn't do this. Tell me how many times a person from our side has done this sort of thing.
I'm of the opinion that the MAGAts did it so they can claim the Dems are dangerous. We'll be hearing the "Both sides do it" bullshit very soon.

(3,193 posts)We know that our side does do things like this. Granted, the other side does it much more frequently, but neither side is 100% blameless.
I hope the cops catch the person or people behind this, regardless of their politics. And if they're caught, I hope they get what's coming to them.
