Legalize Cannabis candidate endorses Keith Ellison for attorney general

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune

A third-party candidate for Minnesota attorney general is endorsing Democrat Keith Ellison in the tight race.

Noah Johnson, a Minneapolis attorney who's running for the Grassroots-Legalize Cannabis party, said in an interview Sunday that he is throwing his support behind Elison because the congressman called for the legalization of marijuana.

"There seems to be a respectable amount of support for my cause," Johnson said. While his name will still appear on the ballot, he said he'll try to steer his supporters to Ellison before Election Day.

"I think that's a better idea than risking splitting the more enlightened side of the vote and risking Doug Wardlow being elected, which would not help our cause, certainly," Johnson said.

Keith Ellison (D) is better than Doug Wardlow (R) on marijuana legalization, the environment, labor unions, abortion rights, and gay marriage. I'm voting for Ellison for Minnesota AG.

If you're concerned about Karen Monahan's accusation against Ellison, then please read the timeline I wrote:

1. The GOPee did a really good job on him with that harrassment allegation though

They're good for nothing except weaponizing public controversies against their opponents.

Red Scare? Create it, and call all Democrats commies!

Crack cocaine crime wave? Create it, and call all Democrats soft on crime.

9/11? Same as above; call all Democrats soft on terrorism.

And so on.

2. Yes, the Republican has a TV ad

...which says "Keith Ellison has been accused of domestic violence by multiple women."

Ellison supposedly pushed Amy Alexander out of his way in 2005 so he could leave, and supposedly pulled on Karen Monahan's feet in 2016 to get her to leave.

I wrote about the Karen Monahan case here:
https://ericjaffa.000webhostapp.com/Reasons_Skeptical_Karen_Monahan_Accusation.htm

The other case which gets them to "multiple" is Amy Alexander. In 2005, she sent Keith Ellison threatening emails. Then she called 911 claiming Ellison had been at her house, argued with her, pushed her out of his way to leave, and broke her screen door on her way out. Ellison said he's never been in her house.

A judge granted Ellison a restraining order against Alexander, and refused to grant her a restraining order against him.

Here is the Republican's ad:

3. Slick - typical GOPee agitprop.

If Ellison can overcome this, he'll be formidable.

Thanks for posting that, Eric. As annoying (and often difficult) as they are to watch, it's critical we keep up with what our friends in the GOPee are doing.

None of the multiple investigations have found anything, and the video she claims she has is MIA. At least she won't share it.

5. She has managed to come up with a lot of reasons for showing nobody the supposed video.

- She lost it.
- She's embarrassed because she's half-dressed in it.
- Accusers shouldn't have to prove accusations.
- It would be unfair to women making accusations who lack video if she showed her video.

She refused to show the alleged video to the investigator for the DFL (MN's Democratic Party), attorney Susan Ellingstad, despite assurances from the investigator that it would be private.

She also hasn't shown it to her own attorney, Andrew Parker. Parker hosts a right-wing radio show for an hour a week. On the show, he praises Trump and tells people to donate to Doug Wardlow (R), who is running against Keith Ellison (D) for MN Attorney General.

Long term heavy health problems from over-use of alcohol, which is very common.

But the good news on the health front is that Canada will start yielding good studies on health effects of cannabis, negative and positive. This is because it is nationwide and there is no mixed jurisdictional issues like the states that have legalized it while Sessions is promoting reefer madness Anslinger-style enforcement against it.
