And babies are great. I love the British Baking Show. Very soothing.

But I just don't get why we think the "Royals" are anything super special?

i get angry at the very concept.

Someone enlighten me.

of the Royal Family is the pride of most of England.
The tourism to the country to get to see it in person more than pays for their financial security. They serve the public by encouraging citizens to assist charitable organizations and Prince Charles is an environmentalist extraordinaire. Every day I see the Queen continuing her duties to the country and I have to say, I'm quite smitten with her strength and commitment to serve. She's over 90 and her spouse is 98. Amazing longevity.

Good for Harry and Meghan. I swear, when I saw her at the wedding with that coat on, I knew she was pregnant. She always has classic outfits and she never took her coat off. She's showing! Ha ha. She's so thin to begin with that after 3 months, she'll be showing.

I was annoyed when it was Princess Di every day when she was getting married, every day when she was getting divorced, and every minute after her death.

The very idea of royalty should be repugnant to Americans - There is no God appointed group of families in a higher "Gentry Class"

They are only the mega wealthy descendants of very successful murderers slavers and colonizers

of the outfit she wore it was fairly obvious to some of us who watched her arrive or saw her photo, as I did, that she was probably hiding a 'baby bump'.

If joint citizenship is legal for US/UK born individuals.

If so, they child could grow up, run for office here in America and may end up as President of the Unite States.

If so, this could be a plot to return the US to British rule.

This could be the greatest threat to our sovereignty since the War of 1812.

We much remain vigilant.

I can almost picture it. A cross between Bridget Jones' Diary, Notting Hill and the Robert E. Lee family story.
Brilliant.

My husband is British/American but when you take your citizenship oath here, you're supposed to give up citizenship of the other nation you came from. But who in their right mind would give up their home country for the US? Give up your birthright? That is not something you do without serious thoughts about the consequences of doing just that.

Anyway, great line of thinking Mr. Scorpio.

its Mother is American so all she has to do if file for the birth certificate and passport.
Unfortunately, that means life long taxation even if they don't live in the states.
That's the tricky part.

A friend of ours lived in Iowa 30+ yrs ago to get his master's degree and his children were born in the states.
They have lived in England for 30 yrs now and were afraid to go to the states to visit.
Afraid that they would be stopped for non-payment of taxes. They are British citizens.

the US is the only country in the world that taxes its citizens even if they don't live in the states.

Now that is taxation without representation.
