Saudi rejects 'baseless' murder claims over missing journalist

Source: Agence France-Presse

13 OCT 2018

Saudi Arabia dismissed on Saturday accusations that Jamal Khashoggi was ordered murdered by a hit squad inside its Istanbul consulate as "lies and baseless allegations", as Riyadh and Ankara spar over the missing journalist's fate.

A Saudi delegation was in Turkey for talks on the case, which threatens not only to harm fragile relations between the two countries but also to do serious damage to the reformist credentials of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the kingdom's ties to the West.

As the controversy intensified, the Washington Post reported Turkish officials had recordings made from inside the building that allegedly proved their claims Khashoggi was tortured and killed at the consulate.

Big names from media and business have already cancelled appearances at a major conference in Riyadh this month and both the IMF chief and the US treasury secretary made their attendance conditional on the findings in the case.

"How far can your Apple Watch 3 be from your phone?"

Approximately 330 feet (100 meters) – more or less. Take that into consideration when separating your Apple Watch from your iPhone. Update: At the Apple event on 10 March, 2015 Kevin Lynch said: “Apple watch communicates with your iPhone over wifi as well as bluetooth.

have enough power to go through walls and down to the street, especially if there is some kind of shielding involved? And I imagine embassies and consulates do have some shielding. Half the time I have trouble synching my phone with my car.

Doing a bit of searching, I found: https://bradymower.com/apple-watch-connection-distance-iphone/

What is the range of Bluetooth 4.0?

Digging into this, I found that the distance of Bluetooth 4.0 can be up to 330 feet (100 meters) and sometimes more, BUT it can be much less, depending on many factors. Bluetooth uses radio waves (short-wavelength UHF to be exact) between 2.4 and 2.485 GHz in the ISM band. Long story short, that means that a Bluetooth signal can be interrupted by Wi-Fi signals, satellite dishes, certain external monitors, microwaves, bodies, certain electronics, etc.

And the comments below this mention the troubles many people are having synching their watches. So, while it may be possible, it seems doubtful.

And trump's the same, he'll never admit anything he's done either. That's why they get along so well , they're both corrupt, liars, and have no problems with murdering others, which trump WILL try to do too eventually. He wants so badly to be like them too. He knew in advance of this happening too, and he's the President. What a disturbing thing for our country now. So disgraceful and criminal.

Nothing would change if they’d admit it. The US has never shied away from doing business with them despite the atrocities they have committed. Money will always trump human rights. They can execute gays and women that want rights and we’ll keep selling them weapons to help them in their war against Yemen.
As soon as the furor dies down, people are going start going back like nothing ever happened. A year from now, that reporter is going to be forgotten, and everyone is going to go back to saying what a progressive reformer this prince is for letting women drive.

By the bye, how did they know he was wearing an Apple watch?

Our nation has been too friendly with SA ever since 9/11, yes, sadly, even president Obama. They attacked us on 9/11, there is enough evidence to prove that IMO. The only reason that we side with SA is because Israel and SA have a pact to fight Iran. What is in our national interests if SA were to destroy Iran? What is in our national interests if Iran were to destroy SA?

I have a problem deciding which country contributes to terrorism the most, Iran or SA? The narrative being pushed by our corporate media is that Iran is worse than SA, you can't prove that by me. I still remember 9/11.

Why are we selling weapons to a country that attacked us on 9/11? Why are we selling weapons to a country that is using them to kill innocent civilians in Yemen?

Saudi Arabia is keeping Donald Trump's buildings above water, they are spending millions of dollars supporting Trump properties. I read where SA alone spent enough money on Trump properties to make them profitable for the entire quarter. We have a president who is basing our nation's foreign policy on which countries give him the most money.
