Sandy Hook father Lenny Pozner sues Delray Beach
Source: Florida Politics
A father of a child killed at Sandy Hook just sued the city of Delray Beach, accusing an employee of illegally accessing his drivers license records.
Lenny Pozner, whose son Noah was among 20 children murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012, filed a lawsuit in federal court against the city and employee Rhea-Lyn Gerstenkorn.
The complaint says Gerstenkorn on at least three occasions illegally accessed Pozners personal information through Floridas Driver and Information Database through her position at the police department.
Considering Pozner for years battled conspiracy theorists intent on proving his son never existed, he labeled such searches unwelcome.

(4,993 posts)but how would you know that a specific person accessed your file at the <insert government agency here>?

(6,810 posts)Identify yourself, who you work for, and for what reason your are requesting the records. Some of the information *might* be public record though I don't know enough about it to be sure. Moreover, if the officer involved didn't have to request through a DMV representative, she'd still have to leave identifiable and traceable information leading back to her. I doubt she works as a double-agent for Russia, so unlikely she hacked her way into DMV records.
No, there was simply no way for this officer to secretly access this information. And she had no business doing so. Certainly did not have a warrant either. She dun fucked up.
Edit: Hell, even if I access my OWN records at NV DMV I have to pay a fee if I want to see my driving record to print out for an employer (driving company vehicles).

(575 posts)They suffered so much anguish with the nightmare of having their children murdered in a mass shooting. Then they have had to endure years of hounding by sick and twisted conspiracy theorists and their threats.
No other families of mass shootings have had to deal with this kind of sick twisted hounding like the families of Sandy Hook

(6,831 posts)He and his wife have had to move several times to avoid these sick twists. Now, they maintain separate residences.
One very disturbed woman in FL stalked him, left messages that she was going to kill him. She is now in jail.
There was a tenured professor at FAU who repeatedly went to Sandy Hook, knocked on doors, demanding that the parents of these children produce birth certificates to prove that the children had even been born. He went so far as to try to request exhumation of [/b]graves. He harassed, threatened and intimidated these parents to the point of insanity. FAU warned him repeatedly to stop. He refused and after five years, he was summarily fired (Despite having tenure, which he thought would make him immune.) by the university.
And I won't even start on what alex jones has done to these families. Free speech, my ass.
What these people have been put through and have had to endure is nothing short of abuse.
There is no excuse for this country to have failed these parents so miserably. Laws must be passed to protect them from these lunatics.
