Trump: 'Everyone Wants' Ivanka to Replace Nikki Haley, But I Hear 'Chants of Nepotism'

In his daily Twitter missive, President Trump expressed his pleasure with all the recent speculation about whether hell replace Nikki Haley with his daughter.
Ever since Haley confirmed her imminent departure from her position as Ambassador to the United Nations, media figures and political observers have noted the possibility that the president will try to have Ivanka Trump take Haleys place. The First Daughter said this week that she will not become Haleys successor, though speculation still remains.
As such, the president tweeted today about how everyone wants Ivanka to take the job, though he predicts the chants of Nepotism if he were to go down that road.

Indeed, Trump predicted nepotism accusations earlier this week, even as he said his daughter wouldve been dynamite as UN ambassador.

(50,557 posts)Question for Donald Trump: If Barack Obama would have appointed Michelle Obama to that position, how many milliseconds would it have taken you to start calling for both their heads?

(65,044 posts)Because it only takes one person (me or you, or both) to not want Ivanka and it's factually wrong.
Of course, that couldn't be explained to "it" given the limited mental acuity.

(7,768 posts)I can't stand to hear Ivanka's voice! It's like she has to deliberately think about every single word, so it will come out correctly. Don Jr's voice also irritates me - he has that fake, rich "Thurston Howell III" voice that sounds like a smarmy, entitled ass (redundant, I know)!

(1,142 posts)He's already guilty of nepotism when he brought Kushner and Ivanka into the White House but he's too clueless to understand that
And what has Kushner done with his access well for starters he gave confidential information to the Saudi's that he had access to when he never had a fully vetted security clearance that led to a a lot of nefarious things including a power grab and now it appears the murder of a journalist Kushner did this as a personal favor to cement a better relationship with his Saudi friends at what cost?

(14,967 posts)Nobody opposed to Trump is wasting time "chanting" about this -- in large part because there are a hundred more catastrophic things about his presidency to be chanting about instead.
In any other presidency, this would be laughably outrageous. In this one, we just have to be glad it is so clearly illegal that even the totally corrupt yes-men around Trump can't find the energy to pretend to have a reason to excuse it.
