Beto O'Rourke Announces Biggest Fundraising Haul For a Senate Candidate in History

Source: Mediate

by Joe DePaolo | Oct 12th, 2018, 10:06 am

Beto O’Rourke, the man who is trying to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), will have an insane amount of cash at his disposal in the campaign’s closing weeks.

The O’Rourke campaign announced Friday that the candidate brought in $38.1 million in the third quarter — a total which absolutely smashes the previous record for biggest quarter from a Senate hopeful in history.

You just raised a record-breaking $38.1 million in three months. From 802,836 contributions. No PACs, no special interests, no corporations. All people, all the time, everywhere, every single day. pic.twitter.com/IDMFNFwezB

O’Rourke claims the money came entirely from 802,836 unique contributions. “No PACs, no special interests, no corporations,” O’Rourke wrote on Twitter.

Beto beating Cruz would be AWESOME.

He's a genuinely good guy who would do great at the national level as well, if he chose to go that route.

I like the younger Dems a lot: Kamala, Kennedy, Ted Lieu(unfortunately not born in the US so no presidential aspirations for him), Swalwell (really like that he's been out of F's to give for a while now and he's not afraid to go on Faux spews haha), Beto to name a few.

She wasn't crazy about him running for Congress initially, but once he was in, she got behind him. When Trump got elected, she suggested he could do more for Texas and the country in the Senate. Plus EVERYONE HATES TED CRUZ.

Abbott is up by 20 points in the governors race. Republican voters are coming home to Cruz.

Beto will be lucky only to have a single digit loss.

I hope that national party hasn't put too much money into Texas.

If you can donate to Missouri, Arizona, Florida or other Dems in tight races.

Any Texas Dems on here - fuck polls. We gotta vote!!!! If the masses vote, Dems win.

No excuses! Get to the voting booth. Early voting starts October 22nd.

Sharper and more messaging, on also guard for fast response to inevitable swiftboating of our candidates.

They will spend the next few weeks pounding the airwaves that Beto wants to take all their guns away, that will give Cruz a bump. I'll predict Beto 44% to Cruz 53%.

Did he have to give up his House seat?
