Two AZ GOPers Posed As Communists To Make Damaging Contribution To Dem
Source: Talking Points Memo
Two Republicans posed as members of the Northern Arizona University Communist Party to make a damaging donation to Rep. Tom OHalleran (D-AZ), who is running for reelection next month, according to a Friday Guardian story.
The two mens attempts to tie the congressman to communism seem to have been clumsily done.
They came into OHallerans campaign office bearing a jar of $39.68, demanding a receipt paid to the communist organization.
Per the Guardian, finance director Lindsay Coleman immediately drove to the local Republican field office to return the money. One of the men posing as a communist emerged and accepted the jar. Coleman said that his partner in the donation attempt was a field organizer for the Arizona Republican Party.
The state party did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Real Clear Politics classifies Arizonas first district, in which OHalleran is facing Republican challenger Wendy Rogers, as leans Democratic.

That's like shutting down all of McDonald's because a couple employees serve burgers to someone dressed up like an escaped convict.
The duped employees got fired, that should have been the end of it.
And then they have 9 investigations into Hillary's decision to use a private email server, culminating in an announcement days before the election that they're reopening the case based on someone else's emails that ended up providing absolutely zero new information.

We need to not overreact, but we do need to do something. Some running for office on the democratic side have not been accepting PAC money (only donated individual money). The AZ gophers I hope will get tagged w/ this nonsense crap.
Maybe have a more stronger national democratic leadership or front office that will raise holy hell if something like this is attempted? Maybe have a national newsletter that would list stuff like this? I don't see any outrage or the likes that rump would raise (fake outrage).

Apparently they don't believe being a pilot is strong enough, in itself, to award Wendy Davis a Congressional seat:
They should have shown Wendy flying her plane while playing a flute, or doing card tricks.

Opinion: Will fear mongering over border funding pay off in Congressional District 1? Republican Wendy Rogers is betting on it.
Somebody borrowed Joe Arpaios Border Wars Playbook. But dont blame Pima Countys Republican Sheriff Mark Napier.
Hes just a pawn in Wendy Rogers game of Scare the Voter.
Republican Rogers hopes to unseat Democratic Rep. Tom OHalleran and put Arizonas First Congressional District solidly behind Donald Trump.
She's using Napier's role in a Pima County feud to demonstrate her border hawk bona fides.
"She's using this for her own political purposes," says Napier, who says he's "never spoken to Wendy Rogers."
