McConnell calls Kavanaugh confirmation proudest moment as senator

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 10/07/18 09:25 AM EDT

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Sunday that he believes the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh may be his proudest accomplishment.

"I think the most important thing the Senate is involved in is the personnel business. The House is not in the personnel business," McConnell said on "Fox News Sunday."

"The most important are the lifetime appointments to the courts, and we’ve prioritized handling President Trump’s outstanding nominations for the Supreme Court," he added.

Kavanaugh became the second Supreme Court justice confirmed under the Trump administration with McConnell as the leader of the Senate. In addition, McConnell has gotten roughly two dozen circuit judges conserved since Trump took office.

The odds that there could be 2 more appointments before 2020 are > 0%.

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Sunday that he believes the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh may be his proudest accomplishment.".....

McConnell has stated that this is a lifelong appointment. And McConnell is correct. Keeping Garland off the court was a mean and vicious thing. That is who McConnell is. He hates us, and did everything he could do to stop Obama from appointing Garland. Garland would have been appointed for life..that is why McConnell did it.
.... He is a calculating and vicious asshole. He knows what he does, and if it hurts many, then fuck the many...
.....McConnell doesn't care about the "many." He only cares about the rich and Republicans. No one else..

You were able to twist rules and oversee a sham 'investigation' in order to put a rapist on the Supreme Court. You must be VERY proud of yourself right now.
