President Donald Trump started off his MAGA rally in Kansas on Saturday by praising Republicans and railing against the “radical” Democrats who he said have turned into an “angry mob.”

“I want to thank our incredible Republican senators refusing to back down in the face of the Democrats shameless campaign of political and personal destruction,” he began, before pointing fingers at “radical Democrats” for launching “a disgraceful campaign to resist, obstruct, delay, demolish and destroy right from the beginning.” The crowd booed.

He added: “Brett Kavanaugh is a man of great character and intellect. He is a totally brilliant scholar who has devoted his life to the law. He is a loving husband, a devoted father, and a faithful public servant and he always has been.”

A fight is what Trump and the GOP want, it will energize their base so that they will come out and vote. This is nothing more than a game to them, a sport, where all you want is your team to win. Look at the polls, before the fight over the judge only 60% of Republicans were interested in the mid-terms and after the fight 80%. A twenty point increase. For us, it is not a sport, it is about our lives. We do not need the excitement of the fight to energize us, we have been at a max energy level for a long time. Before the fight over the judge, 80% of Democrats were interested in the mid-terms, and after the fight 82%. A 2 point gain which is in the margin of error.

We should not PUBLICLY fight or call names. If we do not give them energy, us against them, their base will lose interest. There will be no excitement, no sport. If they bait us, and they will, we have only one response that we should use, what do Trump's wife and daughter think about this? We quietly organize person to person, we will get out the vote, while the Republicans lose interest, get bored, and stay home.

What is legal today, may not be legal for long.

They are calling for libel law reform, which would essentially throw most legal protected speech tactics illegal. The press won't even be able to report views which could be prosecuted.

And it won't take an act of congress. Just a case or two getting escalated to the scotus. They can re-interpret the first amendment any way the 5 of them can agree to.

It won't matter that we have the house. They don't need to pass laws to change the laws. They just need an activist, abusive, gimmiest court to say what is legal and what isn't. If SCOTUS reinterprets the 15th amendment to require a catholic priest's approval for a woman to vote, then you better tithe up. Because now the 15th amendment can still be in force with a rule like that operating.

They can easily and effectively void the 13th and 15th amendments without even bothering to try to justify it.

And it is all constitutional.

And that IS their plan.
