Hawley solicits donations in wake of Kavanaugh confirmation

Within a half hour of the vote, Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley, who is challenging McCaskill in one of the nation's most pivotal Senate races, sent out a fundraising email praising Kavanaugh and asking for donations.
"I am glad that justice finally prevailed for Justice Kavanaugh — but we need to keep up the fight," the Hawley email said. "Please donate today."
In a separate campaign statement, Hawley called McCaskill’s vote “a betrayal” of Missourians.
Hawley has decisively trailed McCaskill in their respective campaign fundraising, with the last official report from mid-July showing that McCaskill had raised $22.8 million to Hawley's $5.3 million.
